I'm not a raving fan of anyone. I'm a normal guy with a normal life and although special to me, I suppose a pretty normal family to take care of. I've made that disclaimer as since I saw the Illusionist I have made a point to try to see anything Mr Giamatti has been in, I was so affected by his performance as the police inspector in that movie. He is truly a quietly powerful, deeply moving actor who can convey emotional context and sincerity of thought through his craft. In my flawed opinion, the finest actor of his generation.
