because it wasn't just peyton's life in danger but the baby's too...plus it happened without warning, whereas when he went into the school he already knew their was a shooter and that peyton might have been shot so he was sort of expecting to find her shot.

Both terrible moments but as Leyton4ever said...it was his wife and his unborn baby that were both in danger of dying so of course he would be incredibly terrified!

For sure. At least at the school shooting she had her eyes open and talked to him and all...but this one...he found her fainted on the floor, bleeding. I agree with leytonforever ^^ There was also the baby's life in danger!

To add to what's already been said, there was more blood and life risk involved (internal uterine hemorrhaging vs gun shot to the leg); not to mention luke's worst fears became a reality ("If you have this baby, you could die"; "The doctor didn't say that something could happen to you; he said there was a very good chance."). So Luke feared for the worst not only seeing her hemorrhaging, but unconscious and seemingly hanging on by a thread for all he knew.
