Haley/Brooke has always been my least favourite friendship on the show because honestly I find it to be completely forced. There was this ridiculous re-writing in later seasons according to which Haley supposedly always wanted to be friends with Brooke in high school, althogh we all remember how in high school Brooke couldn't even remember Haley's name and called her a tutor girl instead and if it wasn't for Peyton, they wouldn't have even become friends. And Haley never even contributed much to Brooke's storyline or her character development because in earlier seasons Brooke interacted more with other characters and formed stronger bonds with them instead of Haley. It's not like I don't believe in a possibility of two people becoming closer or that I don't think that every relationship in our life is important and I respect the support that Brooke and Haley showed each other at several points, but it was absolutely nothing like a real strong friendship should be, because they were not there for each other during the most heartbreaking moments in their lives, it was not Haley, but Peyton who told Brooke's mother to not be a bitch to her daughter when Victoria was constantly putting Brooke down and it was not Brooke, but Quinn and Nathan that were there for Haley through her depression after her mother died.

And since I love Haley/Quinn, I'm not going to comment on them.

^^^Heres how I see it; Peyton and Haley easily became friends because they obviously had alot in common and just clicked...and with Baley it was a friendship that came together because of others, but the moment it became real and added potential was when Haley needed understanding and Brooke was there for her...and ever since both girls have always been there for one another.

I agree about the rewriting in the later seasons, but Brooke/Haley is not forced or fake AT ALL!
They actually became close because of THEM while being roomies in s3, and not because of others!

^ I don't mean that Brooke and Haley were not close to some degree, but it was mostly limited to just them spending time together in earlier seasons without sharing any important experiences together. Then when they were suddenly sold as some epic friendship in later seasons after Peyton left the town it just looked very contrived and unnatural imo.

^^ I think most people would agree that in seasons 8 & 9 there was some history revision and some forced moments (like saying they are each other's best friends over and over....even though I felt like it was just as bad as Peyton & Brooke constantly saying that in seasons 1-6... we shouldn't have to be told people are best friends, we should be able to see it & feel it [and that goes for both Brooke & Haley, as well as Brooke & Peyton.. and I'm both a Breyon & Baley fan, but I can acknowledge when both friendships were ridiculous & forced at times]).

But you can't really say that Baley didn't share important moments together in high school or that they weren't really friends in high school- considering that senior year of high school they lived together, Haley asked Brooke to be her maid of honor, Brooke was the only one Haley confided in that she was pregnant, and Haley asked Brooke to be her son's godmother. Brooke was obviously Haley's closest female friend.... and that doesn't diminish Brooke & Peyton's friendship at all (or even Haley & Peyton's). Fans can like or dislike whoever they want for a variety of reasons, but for Brooke to be Haley's maid of honor and Jamie's godmother- they clearly were close since the early seasons.

I don't dislike Haley & Deb... I just don't see anything special about them.
Haley & Quinn have some cute scenes but I don't love their chemistry.
