You've been getting to know them as Clay and Quinn; the new faces on 'One baum Hill', now see what Robert Buckley and Shantel VanSanten have to say about getting adjusted to life in baum hügel and how their characters will be affecting the town's original residents.

Buckley and VanSanten recently discussed with Denise Gideon on the One baum hügel podcast how they had no easy task coming onto an established Zeigen with a cast that's been together for six seasons.

"There was definitely an immense amount of pressure coming in... Du want to prove to everyone that you're just as dedicated as they are to the show”, sagte VanSanten who is playing the role of Quinn, a photographer coming Home to fix her life. “It's an overwhelming experience", she said.

Buckley, who plays Clay, the sports agent with a secret past, also sagte he felt the nerves that come with joining a veteran Fernsehen show. “It was a little bit intimating, I've never joined a Zeigen that was on for so long”, Buckley told Gideon on the podcast. “....it's kind of like joining high school half way through your senior year, everyone there is already friends”.

But as Both Buckley and VanSanten told Gideon, they didn't remain outside the core group for long and making Friends with the cast was something that quickly happened.

"Everybody's welcomed us with open arms", sagte VanSanten. “It's nice to work in an environment where we all get along".

Buckley agrees with his new co-star on how well they've been able to connect with the original cast members. “You couldn't ask for a Mehr nicer, welcoming group..everyone was really great”, sagte Buckley.

“I feel like we've all succeeded in making a big happy family”, sagte VanSanten, who herself plays a family member of the character Haley played Von core cast member, Bethany Joy Galeotti. As VanSanten told the listeners of the podcast, playing Galeotti's on-screen sister was a major factor in helping her form a close bond with the original cast.

“I spent a lot of time one on one with Joy because we're sisters and we wanted to build that bond, and she's an incredible person”, VanSanten told Gideon on getting to know Galeotti. “I even find myself inspired because of her, it's so great to work with someone that's so talented and that Du admire and that's exactly the way I get to feel in the script”, sagte VanSanten.

Like VanSanten, Buckley also emphasized on the importance of connecting off-screen with the cast member you're working closest with on-screen. “..in my experience the people that you're actually Friends with, ... reads so much better on camera, Du can tell when people are having fun together”. He too had nothing but positive things to say about his on-screen best friend, played Von James Lafferty. “...from the get there was such an ease about him, he has his head in his heart...he's a good person”, sagte Buckley. “We hit it off really well, which is fantastic because we are playing friends”.

Making Friends is what VanSanten says playing the role of Quinn allows her to do as she gets to work with each of the core cast members. “It's cool how all our story lines interlace with each other. I've had scenes with Sophia[Bush] because she has the clothing line, I'm her photographer and she's my sister Haley's good friend, and I've had scenes with James. We all are connected because of our friendships and the size of the town”, VanSanten discussed to Gideon on how Quinn will be connecting with the show's characters.

“Maybe Du wouldn't open up to this person normally but there's a certain circumstance that the writers come up with......where our lives kreuz paths and it's neat to be able to work with everybody, Du don't just work with one person”, sagte VanSanten. “You grow and build a relationship with everyone and I'm really appreciative of that”.
