Nintendo I need Help w/ internet for wii

I am using a buffalo router and i cant connect to the internet. I have tried connecting it automatically and manually and by aoss. Everytime it fails at the connection test. can any1 help me!!! I want to set it up b4 mario kart comes out

umm...only thing i can think of (because i didn't set up the internet when i had it) is change the channels, that's the problem i always have with the connection. Otherwise...not sure :\
