The Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy is a self-reference to the three films written by Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright. The blood part comes from the grisly, violent and bloody deaths of many of the characters. The ice cream part is Nick Frost's character always wanting a Cornetto.
Shaun of the Dead:
The first grisly film was the 2004 romantic, zombie comedy called Shaun of the Dead, which became a cult classic in the UK. the basic plot follows Shaun, a desperate man who changes his life for his girlfriend, but at the same time zombies are taking over. The zombies infect humans, most commonly through bites, thus producing a considerable amount of blood. The cornetto chosen was strawberry.

Hot Fuzz:
The second film was the 2007 rural police homage Hot Fuzz, in which a city police officer is transferred to a rural village, whereupon many brutal murders take place. With many of the same actors being cast, this film also achieved a certain amount of fame. The murders included the explosion of a man's house, the embedding of an axe into two peoples' heads, and dropping a large stone on a man, as well as many brutal fights. The cornetto used in this film was vanilla.

The Third Film:
The third installment sees Simon Pegg and Nick Frost under Edgar Wright's leadership again. The film is due to come out in 2010. Although a title or plot hasn't been revealed, Simon Pegg has hinted that Nick Frost may not be taking his usual role of the sidekick in this film. There has been speculation among fans that the cornetto used in this film will be chocolate, although Pegg insists that it will be mint.

I'm really torn between Sci Fi and Western, but as a genre the Western has more distinct story archetypes then Science Fiction... and a Western done here would be thoroughly excellent!

I can't see a war or historical film from them, it doesn't really fit to me, but western...ahh, that would be amazing.

Whatever they chose to do, I'm sure it would be great!
