I was watching ‘The Adventures of Merlin’ for the first time. Arthur and Merlin were walking together down the path, when my eyes went out of focus.
I had never seen ‘The Adventures of Merlin’ before, oder had seen any previews for it, but the two characters seemed, familiar as though I had seen them millions of times across the screen, in grand adventures together. I suddenly realised they were much like two people I knew very well on the screen.
Those two people were Peter and Edmund Pevensie, from ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’
They were so similar I thought they were the same actors, for a teilt, split second.

‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ and ‘The Adventures of Merlin’, are very much the same, and are also very different. ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’

Arthur is golden haired, and ready to be a king, he is self- centred and has a steady hand with a sword.

Peter has light hair, he is a good swordsman, and he is kingly and likes to think of himself as being a hero.

Merlin has dark hair; he is always getting into other people’s business and ends up causing trouble for himself and his friends.

Edmund is a trouble maker, he is dark haired and always ends up sticking his nose in where he shouldn’t be.

Du see? The descriptions are basically the same.
Even though I may have written the descriptions so they were a bit alike, they still seem to be very alike.

As well as the two main Heroes being alike, the other members of each main cast also seem similar. Look at the two pictures of Prince Caspian, who (obviously) appears in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, and Lancelot who (obviously) appears in episode five of The Adventures of Merlin, Lancelot. There is even an episode/movie named after each character. These two characters are trying to make a difference in somehow: Lancelot is trying to become a knight of Camelot. Caspian is trying to restore a country. In both ways, they are trying to be heroes. Even though Lancelot ends up going away, and Caspian ends up becoming king. But in the legend of Camelot, Lancelot ends up becoming a knight in the end, a very famous knight too.

Anyway that's just some pondering....
