The U.K.’s Telegraph named Madonna the greatest female pop artist of all time.
The Telegraph cited the Queen of Pop’s ability to constantly reinvent herself and produce cutting-edge dance Musik as reason to crown her with this honorific title.
Madonna’s career has spanned 30 years, starting with the release of her single Everybody in 1982. Since then, she has taken on many roles, including virgin, temptress, earth goddess, witch, cowgirl, disco queen, and cheerleader. Her 2012 MDNA Tour was the highest grossing tour in the U.S, accompanied Von a number one album with the same name.
Madonna made a musical “comeback” in February of last Jahr when she performed at the Super Bowl Halftime show. It was the most watched Halftime Zeigen in history. 3 million Mehr people tuned into watch Madonna than the actual game itself. She performed classic hits like “Music,” “Vogue,” “Express Yourself,” “Open Your Heart” and “Like A Prayer.”
Tina Turner, Kate Bush, Debbie Harry, the ABBA girls, Aretha Franklin, Amy Winehouse, Adele, Lady GaGa, and Patti Smith rounded out the oben, nach oben 10.
Seemingly missing from the Liste were Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Janet Jackson, Cher, and Donna Summer.

The rising R&B star, 21, just saw his first two singles off of his self-titled debut album hit the Billboard charts, has toured with Fan Lady Gaga and this week nabbed the oben, nach oben spot in the Us Weekly Buzzometer. So what’s next? He’s on his way into the studio to work with Madonna! Internet rumors have been swirling about whom Madonna has pegged to produce her Weiter album, the follow-up to 2008’s “Hard Candy.” Among the Mehr surprising–and exciting– names bandied about over the past two weeks was Grammy Award-winning rock producer Brendan O’Brien, of Pearl Jam/Rage Against the Machine/Bruce Springsteen fame.
We reached out to O’Brien for another story, but couldn’t resist asking him about Madonna. He goodnaturedly reminded us not to believe everything we read. “No one has contacted me about working with Madonna,” he says. “Someone actually showed me something today that sagte that Bruce Springsteen was going to feuer me because I’d worked with Madonna. It was awesome. It’s really hilarious. I’m a huge Fan of Madonna’s but no one has talked to me. The internet is bulls***. Du can write that down.”
