Love/Hate Relationship/Friendship?

So yesterday and today me and my crush have gone back to teasing and bickering each other, but this time its been constantly. We’ve recently just overcame a obstacle in our friendship/realtionship(I was battling depression and we were distant from each other.) Well yesterday he sagte something that made me mad like usual, so I tried to get him back like usual and he was holding my wrists and we were just fighting like usual. Well I finally just called him a pain in the a** and that I hated him(because of him avoiding me previously and I had to let my anger out) and he sagte it back. But we both sagte it in a way were we both knew that it wasn’t true. Today we went back to saying who hated who the most. Sometimes can “I hate you” mean “I Liebe you” oder “I like you”? Because I can tell Von the look in his eyes that he didn’t mean hate, but something else
