That is what I always thought too. LP didn't need to come up with cheesy nick names and numerous love letters to prove their love. Lucas proved it by being there for Peyton when she needed him (even if it meant going against Brooke's - when she was his girlfriend - wishes). Brooke wanted him to fight for her and he asked how he was supposed to know. Brooke said he just was. And she was right. He should have known. Like he knew when Peyton needed him. But he didn't know what Brooke needed because they didn't have enough of a connection. I'm not saying Luke didn't do things for Brooke and Brooke didn't do things for Luke. Obviously they did. And they loved each other too. But Luke and Peyton could FEEL what one another needed and they didn't need words to understand it.

Well yes, LP is more about actions, but i can't forget about the actions Lucas did for Brooke. {And some of the silent exchanges between them.}

Having Karen convince her parents to let Brooke stay in TH && giving her his room.

Fixing her car after the formal. {lol nobody jump on me for that one please, just pointing out ACTIONS he did, instead of words.}

Writing her letters once they got back together

Showing up at the airport in 5x18, even though she told him not to come.

His face in 2x21 when Brooke tells Karen that they are "just friends." - His face says more than any words could.

Pimping her locker!

Dressing up as Tommy Lee. {And i know that it wasn't really the costume she liked, but it's about the fact that he WANTED to dress up for HER.</b>

Keeping her red feather in the box with his heart medicine.

Destiny shot ♥

^ True, ofcourse there ARE actions made by Lucas, regarding his feelings for Brooke. But I just think that they are more about words. This scene comes to mind: "I love you Brooke, I don't know how else to say it." // "How about how you show it?"... I just feel like when Brooke actually NEEDED actions from Lucas the most, that's when he failed to give them to her. He could tell her that he loved her all he wanted, but that obviously wasn't what Brooke needed from him during quite a few moments of their relationship. It was because if his LACK of actions that made her even bluntly question his love for her. That's just something that we never saw from LP.

Ofcourse, this is just all how I see it! :)

I find that Lucas is mostly about words in all his relationships. He does a good amount to show his love for his girlfriend/love interest... but he does a lot more with words. He is always giving speeches, writing books, writing letters...finding ways to use his words to express his love, and while he does show his love at times- I think he uses his words much more in both relationships.
