It is very frustrating not to be understood in this world. If you say one thing and keep being told that you mean something else, it can make you want to scream. But somewhere in the world there is a place for all of us.

Having perfected our disguise, we spend our lives searching for someone we don’t fool.

Parents can make us distrust ourselves. To them, we seem always to be works-in-progress.

People will kill you over time, and how they’ll kill you is with tiny, harmless phrases, like ‘be realistic.

To say a person is a happy person or an unhappy person is ridiculous. We are a thousand different kinds of people every hour.

At the end of the day, it isn’t where I came from. Maybe home is somewhere I’m going and never have been before.

For me it's this, not being understood, being realistic and the home ones the most.

THIS so much. It reminds me that I used to think I had this perfect routine persona that I presented to everyone to hide what was wrong and it had worked for as long as I can remember and one day, I asked my boyfriend how he would describe me (I think it was for a Buzzfeed quiz or something :p), and he gave me such an accurate and deep answer that I was just speechless that he saw right through me.
