Nick Jonas was amazing!!

Please, nobody can hold a candle to Michael Ball. He set the standard pretty high for the future Mariuses to come... He has the most amazing voice, how could you NOT love it?

what mizzie4life said . Michael is amazing and still going strong 25 years later !!! I did like Hans Matheson though and Hadley Fraser ( who isnt on here :() but the musical will always beat the film in Hans case and Hadley does an AMAZING Graintaire

Michael Ball has been my favourite stage actor for years as after he first sang Marius in 1985 he sang the role of Alex really well in Aspects of Love and can still sing amazingly well 25 years later!!! Nick Jonas sang the part well too, I can't stand the Jonas brothers music but he changed his voice really well to play Marius!!

I have just heard David Bryant nad he is amazing. I have the 10th anniversary Concert with Colm Wilkinson but cannot find out who is singing the part of Marius. He istruly gifted. My favorite Enjolras is the man portraying him on this set too. Wonderful singing by everyone.

Until I started to watch the 25th DVD over and over I would have easily said Michael Ball but now can't chose between him and Nick Jonas so yep I'm torn between 2

Sorry, but Nick sounded like shit in the 25th anniversary and ruined the entire production. Michael Ball everytime forever and ever.

^I wouldn't say Nick ruined the whole production, but he did ruin the character. Michael blew me away, His voice is breathtaking and he played the character and the emotions like it's supposed to be played. His Empty Chairs At Empty Tables made me cry an ocean.Eddie was good too.

Michael has the best voice for the part and displays his emotions with a raw and pained sounding voice, but Eddie also has a good voice and so far has played the most accurate depiction of book Marius for me.

No-one could ever compare to my dream stage show actor as he's got everythig needed for the stage and if he was 25 years younger for the making of the movie I wouldn't have chosen anyone else a great voice and speaking on behalf of a woman, he's a spunk too!
I think that Aaron Tevit should have got the role of Marius Eddie Redmayne did not sing the role well at all but Aaron was awesome.
