pugfan Were pioneer people depressed? Or is it just the picture?

maia01 @pugfan, well, life was tough, but I think the main reason was how long it took getting the picture taken,lol. Looking overly 'cheery' was also not appropriate for adults back then, this had alot to do with their beliefs.

Galaxxygal I am researching the Ingalls Carrie was diabetic & sickly Mary went blind from a stroke- not scarlet fever I think in those days they were very 'consevative' in appearance & pictures I am surprised to see Mary was quite plump KSS
