In the Anime when dedede kills whispy woods, they can only revive them with one of his apples. So kirby ate a lot of apples so he searches for whispys. Du just see him in a different dimension. He needs another demension for all the Essen HE eats.

On an episode of Kirby: Right Back at Ya! (I forgot which one it is) Kirby inhales a voodoo doll (or however it's spelled) of King Dedede, and it shows King Dedede in another dimension, and on episode 6, on one part, it says something about stuff that Kirby eats going to another dimension.
