When I opened my eyes, I felt the gentle up-and-down movement of being carried, and the clanking of metal feet on the cement. I looked over my shoulder tiredly to see Sumomo in her paink-panda costume panting and rushing toward the base. Behind us, Gir was doing the same with Zim.
The door slammed shut, and I could see a look of disappointment on Zim's face. Not with me, but with himself.
"Master!" pflaume choked, hopping out of her costume and onto me. "I was so worried! You-you didn't come home, so-so I came looking for you...!"
Poor girl.
Robot.
Thing.
But thats not what I sagte to her.
"I see," was it. Her head titled downward, and she gathered her costume and solemnly went down the shaft to our sleeping chamber.
Later, when noticed Zim sitting alone in the living room, I climbed on oben, nach oben of the couch beside him, and hooked my fingers into each other and across my lap.
He didn't seem to notice.
To break the silence, I spoke up,
"Do Du always fall asleep like that?" but it sounded Mehr like a squeak. His eyes squinted a skeptical glare, which I returned.
"Of course not," he answered. "Teaching Du tricks like a dog has made me tired lately."
What?
My feet dug into the sofa while my skin darkened. When the Irken noticed this, his smirk wavered.
"U-uh, what I mean to say is..."
darken, darken...
"Sorry!" he shouted out of pure randomness.
I stopped.
"What I meant to say was... I haven't been getting a lot of rest lately."
"I see," I sagte lightly. "And why do Du suppose that is?"
"I told you," his sly grin rose again. "I'v been teaching Du tricks."
I pouted angrily.
"Well! If I'm such a hassle, maybe Du shouldn't have me around!"
His antennas drooped. I leaped off the couch and landed on my feet, gracefully with my arms extended.
"U-Ume..."
"Good-night, jerk!"
And I slammed the door behind me, keeping my eyes locked of Zim's foolish open jaw.
As I retired to my bed, I kept asking myself the same question:
What did I do to deserve this?
It wasn't like I asked to be sent here, let alone be made fun of a called a "dog". How dare he! The devil...
A stupid, mean, slow, mouthy, moody, creepy, ugly--
GREEN DEVIL!
