Main Characters: Miroku, Shippo, Kagome, Sango, Kirara and InuYasha.

Many of the Fan letters I receive ask the Frage “How old are Inuyasha and the other characters?” Some Fans make guesses. The character with the greatest range is Miroku, with guesses ranging from the late teens to late twenties… I basically think it's all right for the readers to view the characters as whatever age they see fit, but since so many people ask this, I'll answer with the ages I have in my head as I work.

It is clearly stated that Kagome's age is 15, so for balance, Sango is about 15 oder 16, and Miroku about 17, 18. I think of Kikyo as having died at about age 17… Demons...

Kikyo may have been a kind soul, but she was also very quiet, and Du gotta admit she did seem kind of creepy. She felt like an outsider, and found a match with inuyasha. That's why they connected. Kagome is another story. She is bright, loud, optimistic, strong, fun and playful as well as scary. Now Kikyo is also strong but she's also a pessimist. The again I would be to if I was a walking dead woman who knew she had to go back. But still she seemed that way when she was alive, away from the village and children. Sango sat at the edge of the riverbank, children were playing in the shallower part of the river, their giggles echoing off into the distance. Sango was doing her weekly load of laundry.
