After watching known unknowns last night, all I can say is - "WOW!" I mean right off the bat I was floored with House's openness with Wilson about his newly admitted affection towards Cuddy. How, rather than deflecting when Wilson calls him out on changing his mind about going to the conference, he admits that he is going because of Cuddy. How he tells Wilson of his plan to seduce Cuddy over the weekend. The determination in his voice and eyes sagte so much Mehr than anything he said. He's finally ready to admit that he wants to be happy with Cuddy!
Then, the dance. OMG, the dance! He's protective of Cuddy when "ghostbuster douche" asks her to dance. He shrugs off any pain he may have in his leg just to be with her. And then, we see House in probably his most vulnerable state save for maybe the end of the season 5 finale (funny how House is only REALLY vulnerable around Cuddy). He dropped a bombshell that I never saw coming - HE WANTED A RELATIONSHIP WITH CUDDY AFTER THEIR ONE-NIGHT STAND! He was going to call Cuddy but he got expelled (which is wierd, I thought they went to Michigan together and I thought he got expelled from Hopkins). In that moment, I think that they would have finally gotten together if Lucas wasn't in the picture. But for once, Cuddy can't handle it and has to bail out.
And then the heart-wrenching discovery of Lucas. He is finally opening up to Cuddy and offers to babysit her child, an arrangement that spoke on so many levels (at least to me). He was trying to help Cuddy because he loves her, while at the same time Wird angezeigt her that he is accepting Rachel. And Cuddy lies. Then, House finds out about Lucas. Rather than exploding on Cuddy (like I was sure he was going to), he bolts with his tail tucked. MY GOD!
Then the awkward "table scene" with all 4 people. Lucas starts rambling and Cuddy seems less than impressed. Lucas offers House a ginger ale and, much to my surprise, House ACCEPTS, rather than shooting back at Lucas when he obviously had the chance.
All in all, I'm seeing a much Mehr mature House. He is handling an admittedly emotionally-tormenting situation with MATURITY of all things! Problem now is Cuddy isn't ready to believe that he is REALLY changing and that he can be a mature, dependable, reliable adult. I can't wait to see the future epi's.
In particular, I can wait to see House piss-drunk and admit that he LOVES Cuddy. Especially if it is to Lucas. I mean, how is Lucas going to react?
If Du can't already tell, I've noticed that I am watching House almost exclusively for the Huddy storyline at this point. And if the spoilers are true (and they have been up to this point), sounds like we have a lot to look vorwärts-, nach vorn to in the near future.
CAN'T WAIT!!!
