Friends is one of the most successful shows ever produced. But a new, and very popular, comedy Zeigen has emerged. Despite huge competition from other comedy shows, How I Met Your Mother attracts around 9,000,000 weekly viewers.

In this article, I'm going to talk about a few striking similarities between the shows, oder to be Mehr precise, similarities between the characters on both shows.

Ross Geller and Ted Mosby, 'pursuers of love'

Ross Green and Ted Mosby resemble a lot. Their ultimate goal is to find their soul mate and have a long and happy marriage. In both shows, this is a very important element. Both Ross and Ted had Mehr serious relationships with one of their friends. Ross and Rachel, and Ted and Robin.
Joey Tribbiani and Barney Stinson, 'womanizers'
Joey Tribbiani and Barney Stinson are the womanizers. Unlike Ross and Ted, they're always looking for one-night stands, instead of a long-term relationship. But at one point, both Joey and Barney start to have strong feelings for one of their friends. And that brings us to a very striking similarity. Our 'pursuers of love', Ross and Ted, had a serious relationship with, respectively, Rachel and Robin. After a few seasons, Joey falls in Liebe with Ross' ex-girlfriend Rachel, while Barney falls for Ted's ex, Robin.

Rachel Green and Robin Scherbatsky, 'career women'

If you'd ask me, Rachel and Robin are the most leading women in their shows. They both had a relationship with one of their friends. Now that's not very special, but both relationships play a huge part throughout the entire shows.
Their characters resemble as well. Both women are good-looking and know that. They're not afraid to use their looks to get what they want. While their looks might sound like a strong point, it's also their weakness. Because of their looks, most people treat Rachel and Robin as if they weren't as bright as most other people. All these women really want is to be taken seriously in what they do, and surprisingly, theyre pursuing the same: a career.

Rachel goes to Paris to work for Louis Vuitton. I wouldn't be surprised if Robin moves far away when the Zeigen stops.

Chandler Bing & Monica Geller and Marshall Eriksen & Lily Aldrin

These are the couples on Friends and How I Met Your Mother. There are a few similarities between these couples and the individuals that form the couples. First of all, Chandler and Marshall. Both aren't very good with women, but their wife/girlfriend Liebe them. They are both schooled and have a good job. This might sound boring, but I think both Chandler and Marshall, are adding lots of humor and 'good vibes' to their respective shows.

Monica and Lily compare as well. They are both Wird angezeigt compulsive behavior in their own ways. Monica is a clean-freak and Lily wants her friends, Barney and Robin, to form a couple so they can double date. Lily is also addicted to shopping. On a Mehr positive note, both women would do anything for their man, and in both shows, Monica and Lily defend their man Mehr than once which leads to funny scenes.
