Dr. House Article: Losing your faith in House, are you?

Let me start off Von saying that this Artikel may offend some thin-skinned people, for which I apologize, but I must get this out of my system – hence the following rant.

I have several Friends who seem to think that House has began the downward spiral that will lead to inevitable episode that marks the jumping of the shark. This is so far away from the truth, I can’t help but laugh at these idiots. One person in particular seems to believe that because HUDDY has been introduced into the Zeigen (Introduced? Where have these people been for the past three seasons?) the Zeigen will die. It’s only natural that Fans want to see our beloved, misanthropic arsch find Liebe and happiness and rainbows. There were those who wanted Stacy to happen for the briefest moments of time. Those who believe Wilson and House have secretly been poking each other with their pork swords since the beginning. Those who think House should be getting it up the arsch Von Chase, Foreman, Taub, Zufällig clinic patient number sixty-seven. Then there is the ever epic, not to mention entertaining battle between Huddy and Hameron shippers. I repeat, this is normal behavior.

What I find incredibly stupid of people is that these so called Fans have begun to HATE and RESENT the Zeigen because it has taken a direction they didn’t want it to go. Hameron Fans got Chameron. H/W Fans got Amber, who in actuality only fueled their motives because she was House with a wig. Huddy Fans got sexual hallucinations – and then the SPOILER. Oh nos! The spoiler that caused Huddy Fans everywhere to clutch their chests and sob with anger. I myself am a firm believer in Huddy (expect when she is Schauspielen like a teeny-bopper, not the strong woman who used to kick House’s ass), but I feel the need to step in here. I am a Fan of HOUSE MD, the show. Not a Fan of sexual exploits, ships, relationships that don’t happen, etc. Perhaps it’s my upbringing as a die-hard X-Files Fan (waiting seven seasons for something to actually happen between two characters tends to teach Du a bit of patience). I feel as though these people who claim they won’t watch the premier because of a spoiler that doesn’t follow their wishes should not call themselves fans. Don’t let a ship ever, EVER define a show. If Du want to see House grow as a character, which is what the writers are attempting to do it seems and is the point of most shows to see how the characters develop, then wouldn’t Du be happy he OPENS up to someone?

Of course, I felt betrayed and outraged on first instinct that House wasn’t going to get with Cuddy right away. But people, this is the first Zeigen of the season. We don’t even know how it’s going to play out! Give the Zeigen a chance, after all the Zeigen has made it into the sixth season and is rated the number one Zeigen in the WORLD says some Zufällig magazine. Give the writers a little bit Mehr credit, Du really think they want to lose their Fans anymore than we want to lose the House we love?

I honestly do not mean to offend people out there. But the fact is, the war will never be over between ships. David ufer is not the type of guy who believes in happily ever afters. House will never be unmiserable. He is not the type to go get married, have lots of babies, and be nice because society has told him to. We have seen he wants happiness this past season. That he is working on it. But if Du honestly think that his character will do any of the above things without out some sort of snag, Du have been watching the wrong show. I mean, isn’t that why people Liebe House? Because it walks the line of reality?

Du can’t always get what Du want, fans.
But is the ride not worth it?

huddysmacked May I step in here? I agree with mostly each point but I am a Huddy shipper (can't you tell? XD) but that's not what got me mad...well previously yes but what I am mad at right no is the fact that...they say that ok he has sex (weee!let's throw a party!) but he cries while he does so? I mean he's hurt, he's vulnerable, he's in an asylum I get it but it's really reallyt crappy that he looks all sad because of doing so... And well yeah I am still a bit mad at that point... I totally but TOTALLY agree on the people who say they wonpt watch the premiere I meann it's let's face it STUPID big time! Like you said the show is not based on ships it's based on House but well the ones who aren't watching the premiere is their opinion and their lack of brain (sorry to express this as that but really it's just frustrating to hear every 5 minutes I'm not watching the premiere). I guess that by all the spoilers we have gotten adn all the leaked info.. we pretty muvh know what's going to happen in the ep so the ones who made their decission over this well I really think they are good...they already know everything so what's the point on watching it? It's not like there's gonna be huge differences right? I am gonna watch the premiere no matter what I have waited 4 months and I want to wait no more, I mean everyone felt that way a week ago but now with all the new news they are all "They have ruined it-blah blah-not watching it" Yeah it sounds rather stupid but hey! It's their POV. It's their loss and to be truthful they can be mad. I mean not everything is gonna make you comfortable about a show. And let's clear it out shows are sustained by the shippers...they are the ones that alwayts tune in and everything..off course to be a shipper you first need to fall in love with the show and there are some who stay neutral but they are not in my POV the most interested fans... And I have too many more points about that matter but I am getting all wordy and all judgy and I donp't want to be that..Besides I really want to keep the peace within this spot....soooo.. that's my 2 cents over it. I repeat it's JUST my opinion

vieamemusique See, I also am a Huddy fan all the way. It's the most I have felt about two characters on television since Mulder and Scully. I also want to keep the peace, and I am aware people are allowed to their own opinions. But what annoyed me was these "fans" who have gone around to every spot saying how they aren't going to watch the show and how they hate it. Numerous times. We got it. Let us real fans rejoice in the fact there are only fifteen days left until our lives begin again. xD

NCISGIBBS Honestly, what happens with most shows, is the producers find a trait in a character that the fans like most, they just emphasize it more. This is a mistake. This makes the other traits practically disappear. This has happened with a lot of the characters, INCLUDING House. Sometimes the change is for the better, but normally for the worst. In some of my favorite shows I have seen it happen. Third Watch, NCIS, but mostly in House. Because of it, a lot of people losing faith in the show.

Beatrix8520 I totally agree with you Vieamemusique...we are supposed to be fan of the show not fan of the couples. And as long as it is well written I really don't see why we should complain...I mean, I am defenitely an Huddy...as you said those people who think they have introduced Huddy just in Season 5 should rewatch the latest 4 season... where have they been all along? I get the feeling those people do not care about details and certainly they do not pay attention to the script either, otherwise they would have realized House & Cuddy was there all along and that their chemistry was a big part of what made the show so great!! Anyway I belive in the show. I really do, I think it's the best I have ever seen so far. Just look at the facts: it has all the ingredients of a medical mystery but it's not monotonous, every season there's something new which affects the balance and forces the characters to move on and change their outlook on reality...the genious part was season 5 puts everything upside down. Not only House with is mental breakdown, but even Cuddy with her baby or Wilson after Amber's death or Chameron with their wedding...balances are changing...as in real life. The question is: how they are gonna change? what are they gonna do to face these changes? You see the quality of the show lies in the answers to these questions. What would happen in real life? Or what should happen if we wanted it to be interesting and not just an happily ever after boring story? As I sad I am personally a fan of House, both of the show and of his character...I do not want him to change too much and I want to have a reason to whach the show every Monday...I do not want it to become predictable and personally boycotting the show...that sounds a little childish to me...no offend taken guys but...seriously...do you shut a book when it is not ending as you wish he would? do you turn the tv off when you realize the character you love so much is gonna die? did you walk out the cinema when Di Caprio was freezing in the cold water? I don't think so...As I said, as long as it is well written, as long as it makes you cry and laugh and hope, I think it is worth watching.

giubicri I agree with the post but I also believe that a show like house can't last forever..it's not a soap and it has not to be handled like a soap...That's why as long as I like seeing House and Cuddy playing together, I'm firmly against love affair between the main characters.. They can screw around as much as they want but not within them. This expedient can have a lot of success between fans, but it doesn't add anything to the show. Instead, it makes it as banal as any other tv series. It's a dangerous weapon, that usually leads to the end of the show itself (remember xfiles?).. Hope authors are free enough to write what they want without being slave of audience statistics or whatever.. looking forward to the next fabulous season of House :) Take care guys

babybell i agree with Vieamemusique. I just felt i had to say that, even though i am strongly against putting my mind to things the day before school starts.

livethislifeup Oh my God, I love you. This is perfect. I've agreed with--majority of the opinions above. Personally--I despise spoilers now. Even from the legit interviewers, I seriously despise them. What they've done to the solemnity of the House spot and Huddy spot is completely insane. And I don't trust the interpretation of the show in some of the spoilers. For all we know, those spoilers are allowing House to seem like a soap now. Describing it to be that way. Entertainment for their own welfare. If anyone--I trust Shore and Jacobs. Without a doubt, unlike the many other fans who spit out rants about them. "I mean, isn’t that why people love House? Because it walks the line of reality?" Yeah. This is why people love House. It's why they SHOULD love House. And you can't always get what you want.
