babybell the only reason the others left is because they were not main characters, they had an arc. I'm not so sure about Rachel. You could tell the others weren't permanent, but with her you really don't know. She has the ability to fall in and out of the foreground of the show. For the last to episodes, she hasn't had much of a part, yet you know she is there, which isn't something another character can do very easily. Her role in the show is kinda undefined. We don't know whether she is an arc, a plot device, or a proper character. The latter is very unlikely: you can't explore her, you can only explore the effect she has on others, and that probably means she is a plot device, being brought up whenever necessary. But as I'm sure it's easy to see, that kind of character gets a bit annoying, and the most interesting effect is always taking the thing away, like Amber. So I'm thinking you are probably right, Rachel will be leaving and that will cause the "pretty much" the same cast as before :D

marjce77 I have a sad theory about that. I think something will happen to Rachel. She gets sick. House can not save her. Cuddy can not get over it. Then she goes away (temporarily). That event and Cuddy's absence is what causes House's mental and emotional trauma mentioned by KJ. I know it is a very sad theory but I think it seems very likely knowing the writers obsession against happiness.

rosehustle1 I think the grandparents may contest her right to adopt. Maybe they have changed their mind about forfeiting their rights as guardians. Also she could get very ill and die because she wasn't a very healthy little baby to begin with. I remember Cuddy telling the homeless couple that she could have a partially blocked lung and I think she might be slow mentally.

salemslot I doubt someone is leaving this year.If you see,the show repeats itself,there are some pattens which gives us some clues to what will happen.If I'm right,this season noone will leave but someone is going to come.In s1 we had the arrival of Stacy,s2 almost death of House,s3 departure of the dsucklings,s4 Amber's death and House's almost death so someone is coming,maybe House's father or his family.And the writers have been very cryptical lately.They said that s6 will be kinda different than the rest we have seen. This season has been mostly about House and his esoteric struggle with his feelings(almost losing Wilson,his relationship with Cuddy etc) so I'm thinking that in the end of the season a sort of purification will happen.And what is a method of purification?Fire.I think a biohazard accident is going to happen in PPTH which will be destroyed and that everyone will have to evaluate their lives after the tragedy as the writers have hinted.They said that the cast will be pretty much the same but did they say the same thing about the sets?

marjce77 I does make much sense salemost, but if I'm right DS recently said that the end of the season would be emotionaly traumatic but very easy to film.

HouseFann I had read that rachel is gonna stay and my own thoughts are that theré is gonna hapen something with the characters like a accident or something and i dont think its House because he has already bin shot and everythign so i think that thirtheen is leaving or Taub because Thirtheen has Huntingtuns so maybe she is going to get sick or something , And i thought maybe Taub because of his money problems and al that he goes to take another job but that are my thoughts

Could it involve them? It's certainly away to push them back into the show. I don't think they will leave (cause of JS extending his contract & JM being involved in DS future plans) I like Rachel :( Hope it isn't her!
