How do I create a wallpaper?

I wanted to create a Hintergrund for the graphics contest but i dont know how. :P

There are many way's to create wallpapers. Du can use Foto shop, but that's pretty complicated. Du can also try paint.net, that's similar to Foto shop, only simpler. Another great program to use is picasa from google, Du can download this on the Internet.

I use GIMP. :-] Du can find some great tutorials online if Du do a bit of searching, and if Du practice enough Du can make some awesome graphics.
