Neither! Both have created some great things and should be praised in their own rights.

They both deserve equal praise.

Agreed with all of the above...I would say neither could ever receive enough praise! Although Miyazaki does deserve to become more popular in the west.

Miyazaki's movies will always be praised and I don't think Disney would ever surpass them because some of the Disney movies suck. I didn't like Lilo & Stitch.

Oh, BTW, you got it all mixed up. Most of his films are represented by Disney.

disney animation is great, but everyone knows about it!!! i feel like people think of japanese anime as wierd and dorky. they dont know enough about it to be interested in it. if it was praised more then people would like it more and stop judging!!!!
i use to be one of those people who judge anime, and now after giving it a chance, i love them:)

Miyazaki animated films, plus Future Boy Conan, have been something I love... really love. I watched Disney when I was a kid, so I praise the then-Disney, but it's terrible these days... can't watch anything Disney any more... whatever happened to movies like Fantasia?
