I don't think Hitler can be compared to ANYONE.

I believe JK has said that Voldemort was inspired by such historical figures as Hitler. And he shared personal similarities with Hitler in particular. Not only do they both hold 'pure blood' beliefs that lead to genocide, Hitler was half Jewish and Voldemort was half Muggle. Hitler pursued his agenda through more legitimate political means than Voldemort though.

Wait..If Hitler was half Jewish, why would he want to kill Jewish people?

MrTurnipHead, what does it matter that one was real and the other wasn´t? You can still compare them, just as fanfly did.

Here are the following reasons why I think they're similar:

1) Hitler does indeed have Jewish blood in him, I did some research long ago because I was very interested in Hitler. Apparently his grandmother might had married a Jewish man. And Voldemort is half-blood. Hitler wants to wipe out Jewish people while he has Jewish blood and Voldemort wants to wipe out muggleborns and muggles when he has muggle blood... Genocide

2) Hitler is famous even til this day and he had started the second world war while Voldemort was the most powerful dark wizard of all time and also started a war.

3) Hitler had Gestapo while Voldemort has Snatchers. Hitler had Nazis while Voldemort has deatheaters.

4) They both have their own symbols. Hitler has Swa Stika while Voldemort has Dark Mark

5) Both used terror. Azkaban under Voldemort's Ministry is about the same as Dachau under the Nazis

6)Both would do anything to gain power

And JK Rowling said in an interview that Voldemort was based mostly on Hitler.
