This is what happened-
I was round my dad's house and I was quietly reading my book. I put it down for about 3 seconds and the (disowned) kid runs over, gets his crayon and scribbles on it! I was so upset!!! GRRRR (lol) My dad told me to stop being silly and that he was only a kid but I'm bloody pissed off and irritated!! (sorry for my langauge! I never usually swear but I really need to let the anger out!!)

I think we all agree the series is awesome, but the books are replaceable. Sure, they have a sentimental value because we first read Harry Potter there, but in the end, they're just the material support of what we really like. You'll probably be angry for a while, then remember you a putting a material object before a human being, one you are related to, and who's an infant who can't know what he's doing. You can always buy a new book, however painful it is to give up the old one, but you should'n break your relationship with your brother.

I'm telling you this because I'm a huge Harry Potter fan myself, and when I was little, my younger sister lost the first HP book (which was mine). We used to fight all the time anyway, but at the time I felt I hated her. Year later, the book appeared, and today, when my relationship with her is much better, I realise how stupid I was to grudge.
