After rereading both DH and SS, I began to wonder. Du may have seen the picture of Harry releasing the snake in the zoo with JKR's Kommentar on the snake being Nagini. I actually have a few problems with that. I realize that some of this can be called book-movie inconsistency, but this is a Wild and Crazy theory.
First off, gender. Consistently, Nagini is called female. HOWEVER, if Du listen carefully to the snake's voice in SS, it is clearly male.
Next, location. Voldemort must have made Nagini into a Horcrux fairly soon after doing the same (accidentally) with Harry. Thus, the snake in the zoo COULDN'T have been Nagini, as it was released in June of 1991. It is sagte in the Bücher that Voldemort has an extraordinary amount of control over her, even for a Parselmouth, which suggests that she has been a Horcrux for quite a while.
Now on to less obvious details. Nagini is most likely poisonous. When Voldemort uses her to kill Snape in the book, he lives just long enough to give Harry his memories. Thus, there must have been snake venom in his veins, which spread over that time, killing him. Also, Nagini bit him. In both SS book and movie, the snake is described as being of the constricting variety. How can a boa constrictor/Burmese python also be poisonous?
Nagini is described as having a diamond-patterned tail, which marks her as possibly toxic. The snake from the book does not have sagte patterrn. Notice that I did not addressthe movie snakes at all. I am fairly sure they are patterned differently, however, the difference in lighting between the Filme does not allow for accurate judgement.
And just a quick note: Wouldn't Nagini recognize Harry if she was the snake from the zoo and they met again?
Thus, Nagini is most likely NOT the snake from the zoo. However, if Du have evidence from either book oder movie that contradicts this, I'd Liebe to hear it.

Some Harry Potter Fans might disagree with me, but... THE NEWEST MOVIE SUCKED!!!! Sorry to say this but it did. It was a lot shorter than all the others, there was almost no plot, and almost nothing happened the whole movie. All they accomplished in the movie was to find the initials of some guy. I hope the Weiter one does a lot better than that one. Although I suppose Dumbledore dying was an interesting thing that happened. The only good thing that came out of that movie was that it progressed the story. Other Fans should agree with me, and if they don't it would surprise me. I am a long time Harry Potter fan. I have all the Filme and I have seen all of them in the theaters, and I have all the books. I'm not saying I am no longer a Harry Potter Fan oder I don't look vorwärts-, nach vorn to the Weiter movie, but if Du haven't seen the movie stick to the book.
