who's a better writer J.K. Rowling oder Stephenie Meyer?

i am talking about the writers.

Be Objective, who writes her saga's the best?

ok, in my opinion, J.K. Rowling is way better writer than Meyer.

Why?
ok, #1 J.K. Rowling has written 10 books.
#2 she uses a Mehr complex vocabulary and she creates a new one. with all the spells, names and a whole world of magic.
#3 the history she has to create Jahr Von year, has a really good continuity.
#4 Harry Potter characters have political and social foundations.
#5 the characters have to grow with the history and she make it look simple.
#6 she takes the risk of killing important characters, like Dumbledore, Dobby, Lupin, Tonks, etc. she does the unexpected thing.

well then Meyer has some points to her favor to:
#1 she make us feel like we are Bella.
#2 she transmitted all her feelings very well.
#3 she changes the idea of the traditional vampire. (her vampire sparkles)
#4 she is original on her way.
#5 she makes it appear like a diary, that is cool too.

So i just want to know your very own opinion...
i am Fan of both, so i just want your opinion, putting outside who Du like the best.

Kommentar whatever Du want, just try to be honest with yourself and don't compare the Bücher because they have nothing to do with.

_madz_ well both authors have points in their favour. i find that a really hard choice because i love both series and they are really compleatly different. the twilight saga is a love story through and through while harry potter is the classic good vs evil story. i find that steph meyer has better descriptive language but the plot of harry potter is quite complicated with way more twists and turns. the whole thing is that its really hard to compare them because they are so different. although HP and Twilight and both based in a fantasy world with conections to our everyday life, they differ in characters, plots, setting and overall feel. i think i would have to go steph meyer if i had to choose only one. thats only because im really obsessed with twilight right now, but im sure when the next movie comes out for HP my choice might change, and then New Moon comes out after that... its an interesting question.

Kadaj J.K Rowling actually knows how to write. Myer's can't write worth a dam.

liissaaxx Not that I have anything wrong with Stephanie Meyer, I love her books and can't wait for the sequel to the host, I just love J.K Rowling's style and creativity of writing more.

MistressEbzo The subject alone made me chuckle: "The comparison between Rowling and Meyer." There IS no comparison. Granted, I've read all of both of the series' and I actually managed to trawl through all of the Twilight series but Rowling is most definitely the one that comes out on top. Meyer needs to learn some more adverbs. I hate the Twilight fad with a passion. Nngh, I hate all uber-franchises.

Ivonne26 Obviousley J. K. Rowling. I liked Twilight Saga, but while I was reading I felt it was a fanfiction, a very well written FF, but not a novel. Rowling has written since she was 6 years old, plus her parents were academic people, she has traveled, has an amazing knowledge of mithology and history, and she has a HUGE imagination.

stephc08 Right well in my opinion although i love both saga's Harry Potter and Twilight, I believe that Stephenie Meyer is the better writer, however i dont really think anyone can say so because the books are completely different. Harry Potter is Good v Evil, story about wizards ect. However Twilight is an exceptional love story, which i think every girl can relate too, and boys like it also because its full of action. So yes i think stephenie meyer is the best!

PotterFan127 I think harry potter is so much better. For one thing, the friendship in it is real. In twilight, when Edward asks Bella to join him at his table, she just abandons her friends. In Harry potter, Harry's asked to join Romilda Vane and her friends in their compartment on the train when she says 'you don't have to sit with them.' Harry said that Luna and Neville were his friends and stayed with them. Stephanie Meyer's books are shallow. Bella only likes Edward because he's pretty. HP will stay in longer than Twilight.

Thecharliejay J.K Rowling sorry to all u twilight lovers but steph myer (ive read the books and i can say this) is a shit writer and in my opinion doesnt make u want to read the series as much as J.K Rowling

VintageSmile Oh god, some of these comments are embarrassing to read. At the end of the day, it's all opinion. I, prefer Rowling, ofcourse. But that doesn't mean I'm going to start bashing another author. And before you all come at me, I have indeed read the Twilight saga, and yes, using 'SPARKLING VAMPIRES SUXS' as an arguement is highly pathetic and not a catalyst for upholding an arguement.
