Does anyone else think that Neville should have killed Bellatrix? if so why ?

i think that she shouldn't be killed at all
but if it is necessary for her to die then either Neville oder Hermione should've killed her

I think Neville killing Bellatrix would have been justice for his parents and is a nice thought, but Neville isn't strong enough to kill her. I would have preferred it if Kingsley oder some other highly skilled wizard had killed her.

I think that Neville would have killed Bellatrix well, dramatically, and would have avenged his parents. But I think that Mrs. Weasley did it better, avenging for the death of her son. The screaming was a plus.

No, Neville is too young and too innocent to kill a person. But yeah, I don't think Bellatrix should have been killed that way. A few Crucios would have served her right :P

I think things worked out alright. Though he didn't kill her with his own hands - he kills Nagini and has that really triumphant moment towards the end. I think that kind of makes up for it.

Yes though nothing can beat Mrs Weasley screaming "Not My Daughter Du Bitch!" at Bellatrix it would have been nice to see Neville avenging his parents.

No way! Nobody should kill Bellatrix, Neville especially. He's not worthy. I hate him. He's a weak, useless little nothing, a pathetic excuse for a boy. He's almost a squib. Bellatrix is amazing, honestly <3

In case you're interested, I started a fanfic where Neville actually gets to kill Bellatrix. But it's still on chapter one. I fully intend to finish it, though.

No. I think she shouldn't have killed Sirius, and instead he pounded her sorry face in.

Anyone would better than that Weasley mum coming from nowhere oder no one at all. Or, maybe Voldy if he had known about her Liebe for him. It would have been so sad. But still better.

No he should not have. Despite everything he faced Neville was still innocent in the sense he had never killed. Molly doing it was not stupid; it showed that even though she was cast as the motherly role throughout the story she was still as strong a witch as any. She deserved her moment. Would she have been a part of The Order if she wasn't capable? It's better that Neville didn't do it. His parents wouldn't have wanted that and it would have taken away his innocence. It doesn't make him weak; he proved throughout the whole story he was not weak. People seriously need to actually read the story and try to understand the messages being conveyed before making such nonsense comments.

I did expect that to happen when I first read the series. Neville did seem to have the best claim of anyone to kill her. But in a way, I understand why it wasn't done, too. Like sylvia1103 said, making him a murderer would have ruined him. And Du couldn't have another case of a rebounding spell.
