No....that storyline was created solely for the show. Honestly, there is very little of an overlap between the show and the books. They are very hard to compare.

in the books chuck is gay not that its directly said & he has a snow monkey

well they dont date AT ALL in the show
blair puts up with him until about book 3 when he says something that upsets her about nate and jenny

hes a complete slime ball in the book and he starts to verge on bi as the series continues

so there is NO chair in the book
but i garantee theres a lot of nair (which is pretty cute most of the time)
