Rachel (to Kurt the Weiter day): How's everything with Blaine going?
Kurt: We finally made up.
Rachel (to herself): And out, I bet.
Kurt: Wha--
Rachel: I have my plans set. That's what I said.
Kurt (cheerfully): Alrighty then...(He whispers to himself.) Bitch.
Rachel: What?
Kurt (pointing down the hall): Finn.

(He and Rachel look down the hall. Finn is at his locker, talking with Rory and Sam about Nationals. As soon as Finn sees Rachel waving at her, he makes a run to the cafeteria. Rory and Sam follow behind. Kurt and Rachel try to catch up.)
Rory: Finn Hudson, what's with Du running from your bride-to-be? Aren't Du supposed to cherish her everyday?
Finn: I understand that, Rory. But lately, she's been getting on my nerves.
Sam: We told you, Finn. But since Du didn't listen to us, Rachel's got your nuts tied to her invisible flag pole. Du lose.
Finn: Oh, way to make it worse, Sam!
(The boys try to make it to the other end of the cafeteria, but a crowd of hockey players and Cheerios walk right in front of them.)
Finn: Damn, I'm too late!
(Kurt and Rachel walk up to him.)
Kurt: What's the rush, big brother bear?
Rachel (to Finn): Yes, I wanted to talk to Du about our futures together. Did Du have to meet one of your teachers oder something?
Finn: Uh...

(Santana, Brittany, and Quinn came up right Weiter to Finn, all smiling and laughing.)
Santana: What's wrong, Finnocence? Rachel froze your nuts off?
Brittany (surprised): Oh, so that's where most of your trail mix went.
Quinn: Unholy Trinity's back and starting a group meeting with some Glee club members. Rory, Sam, you're invited as well. Come on.
(Brittany and Santana walk proudly, holding hands and carrying their Cheerios bags. Quinn wheels out of the lunch room, with Rory and Sam following behind her. Rachel turns back to Finn.)
Rachel: Finn, we really do need to talk about our future in New York together. There are only a few months until graduation, and Du haven't applied to any school yet.
Finn: I'm not sure what--
Rachel: New York universität is one. They have a versity football team there. oder what about the Brooklyn School of Visual, Media, and Performing Arts. Heck, Du and I could both be stars on Broadway.
Finn: How do Du even know if I want to go on Broadway? I'm not good enough for Broadway.
Rachel: Well, maybe not Broadway. But Du could learn about...well, how to Bearbeiten Videos and film people and stuff.
Finn: Maybe I'll just figure this out myself.
(Finn and Kurt walked out of the cafeteria, leaving Rachel Von herself. She started walking into the hallway, and the Musik to link Von Mariah Carey started playing. While the song played, Rachel was thinking about Finn. Santana and Quinn harmonized in the background.)

Rachel (singing):
Early on, Du face
The realization Du don't have a space

And recognize Du were born to exist

(As Rachel is singing, Quinn and Santana follow her. Quinn is wearing a sparkly blue blouse, black leggings, and black flats. Santana is wearing a short, sparkly blue dress with black high heels. Rachel leads the way, wearing a plain blue dress with a bow on the back, black flats, and white stockings. As the girls are headed towards the auditorium, they spot Finn Von the lockers, talking with Puck. Rachel gets worried for him.)

(The girls finally make it to the auditorium stage. Santana is standing on the left side, and Quinn wheels her way to the right side. Rachel stands center stage, with the spotlight shining on her as she sung.)

(Rachel imagines that Finn is watching her from the auditorium seats. He looks undecided, proud, and let down all at the same time.)

Rachel (singing):

(At the end of the song, Rachel gets into realization and no longer sees Finn. She walks out of the auditorium, still worried. Quinn and Santana are still on the stage.)
Quinn: How the hell did I get here?
Santana: And why am I wearing this?
Quinn: And why did I just get bumped into the background again?!
Santana: And why does Rachel keep wearing knee-high socks?
(Silence.)
Quinn: We're so confused.
Santana: And critical.
Quinn: And we keep saying "and" in the beginning of our sentences.
Santana: We're so alike.
Quinn: We sure are.
Santana: I'm glad you, Brittany, and I are best friends.
Quinn: And that we're popular.
Santana: And we're hot b*tches.
Quinn: Totally.
