George, 14, who scooped £100,000 with his Singin' In the Rain routine, explained: "I guess he's been really busy and so have I. We used to have a lot of contact. I miss that."
And young George has also had his hands full, fending off his female fans.
He said: "My mates are all jealous. Girls Zeigen up at my house in the early hours, banging on the door.
"It's flattering but it gets to me. I rely on a bodyguard to tell them to go away. I've also had a few proposals from older girls."

George Sampson says he’s got a soft spot for teen star, sterne Miley Cyrus.
And the Britain’s Got Talent winner reckons he’d impress her with his break dancing moves.
‘I’ve got a secret crush on Miley Cyrus,’ he says.
‘I’d Liebe to do a dance-off with her. Can Du put a good word in?’
But it looks like George will have to fight off 14-year-old EastEnders star, sterne Madeline Duggan first.
‘George is so fit. I want to give him my number but I don’t know if he watches EastEnders and will know who I am,’ she tells the Daily Mirror.
‘My dad probably won’t let me datum him but who cares? I’m gonna ask my press office to speak to his and swap phone numbers.’

George's parents, Brian and Lesley teilt, split up when George was 10; George lives with his mother, sister Rosie and his brother Luke while his other siblings, Chelsea and Emily, live with George's father.
