co-showrunner Dan Weiss may have recently said that there won\'t be any prequels or spinoffs once the HBO juggernaut comes to a bloody conclusion, but we\'ll believe that when we (don\'t) see it.
With rival networks milking hit shows for all their worth (
Better Call Saul/Fear the Walking Dead/The X-Files: The College Years
) , there\'s bound to be more life still to see in Westeros and beyond. Here are just a few potentials:
Let\'s get this one out of the way. This is the show that Martin has actually said he\'d like to see. "The most natural follow-up would be an adaptation of my
The series would be based on three novellas from the anthology
. Set 90 years before the TV series, it follows \'hedge knight\' Ser Duncan the Tall (a future member of the Kingsguard) and his squire Egg (King Aegon V Targaryen, father of \'Mad King\' Aerys II). It would be MUCH lighter in tone than
, which would probably be a welcome relief at the end of it all.
"Each of the novellas could easily be done as a two-hour stand-alone movie for television; that would probably be the ideal way to do them, rather than as an ongoing weekly series," he added.
If there\'s one character that\'s badass and intriguing enough to have their own series, it\'s Jerome Flynn\'s Bronn. He hasn\'t had much to do in recent storylines, so it would only make sense that he\'d want to finally escape Westeros and have his own adventures.
Or, perhaps we could delve into Bronn\'s past and see what he got up to before he became Tyrion\'s hired goon. There would be plenty of fights, quips, sex and booze. What more could HBO want?
We haven\'t spent too much time with the Wildlings, but when we have they\'ve been utterly fascinating with a rich history and sense of family, in their own bloodthirsty way.
If you wanted to focus on one character, how about Mance Rayder? He was once a leading member of the Night\'s Watch before betraying them and joining the clan. It would be really intriguing to see a young Mance on his suicide journey to switch sides and see how the hell he managed to unify the Wildlings and eventually become their leader.

, this series would focus on the Targaryen civil war that would end up breaking up the House forever more.
The war began due to the kind of scheming we\'ve become used to in
, as the death of King Viserys I Targaryen is kept secret from his heir, Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, and Queen Alicent Hightower and Lord Commander Criston Cole decide to coronate his son Prince Aegon.
The next two and a half years saw dragon battles, slayings of children, and countless backstabbings. You know, the usual stuff. This story would not only be amazing to watch, but it would show how
-style wars and misunderstandings were happening hundreds of years before.
Once the series has wrapped, we\'ll hopefully know a bit more about the mysterious White Walkers (but don\'t count on it). But how about a miniseries explaining their origins and what the hell they\'re all about?
The books explained how the First Men arrived in Westeros (including Stark descendants) and quickly faced off against magical beings known as the Children of the Forest - a war which would go on for two thousand years.
Eventually, they found peace, but then the White Walkers showed up and ruined everything, leading to what is known as \'The Long Night\', an epic conflict that saw the WW killing everything in their way and raising the dead to join them along the way. Somehow, the First Men and the Children of the Forest drove them back, but it\'s not known exactly how.
-style horror/thriller to retell the battle, and at the same time would explain lots of important plot points that

This was one of the most interesting and important moments that led to the events seen in
, Prince Rhaegar Targaryen kidnaps Robert Baratheon\'s fiancée Lyanna Stark, and the Mad King kills Ned Stark\'s father and brother, starting a rebellion that ends a dynasty that lasted 300 years.
The short series would essentially be a quickfire edition of what
is all about. War, political machinations, betrayals, and lots of sexy affairs. Plus, it would centre on younger versions of characters we\'ve already met (Robert, Ned Stark, Jaime Lannister, etc.), as well as others we haven\'t but have heard a lot about, especially the Mad King.
than Jaqen H\'ghar (though he was a bit of a dick in season five). We\'ve learnt that The Faceless Men are incredibly badass and beyond mysterious, and that they\'ve had a long history that dates back to when they were slaves at Old Valyria, once the greatest city in the world.
As they can change their faces and have existed for yonks, this could be an anthology series where it focuses on a different Faceless Man in a different time period each season. Plus, it could have the same actor playing different Faceless Men each time. Maybe even Jaqen actor
