actually now that i think about it, i believe it was actually 8 years. yeah, i mostly just remember random animal names. i took Spanish for 2 and i remember that better, so that's saying something about the French education system.

Okay, I thought that they could use the animus for searching the pieces of the device, like they use it in AC to find the pieces of eden.
Inside the animus there are Ezio/Peter and Caterina Sforza/Olivia who try to fight against the templars. Leonardo/Walter helps them by designing weapons and being a mad scientist^^ The story would be a combination of Fringe and AC, so they work together like in Fringe and find out about the pieces like in AC.

okay, that sounds like a cool idea. i wasn't sure what i was going to do with Olivia in the animus, afterall she's not supposed to be there but your idea works out well. and yeah, the whole treasure hunt for the pieces should make for an interesting story. my only issue now is, i'm not sure who to make the bad guys. like i guess Walternate could be a character, like one of the Borgias but then it's a bit weird if Walter is Leonardo. maybe i'll just keep the baddies on the outside world and have them interfer in that way. or make shapeshifters cross over into the other world without the use of the animus?

It's weird that Walter is Leonardo anyways, if Peter is Ezio. Then he had to be Giovanni Auditore, but that wouldn't be cool...
I have the same problem. Maybe we leave it just the way it is, so the Borgias are simply the Borgias. And I like your idea with the shapeshifters!
