There is a lot of buzz about the “Fifty Shades of Grey” sequel.  After the phenomenal box-office success of “Fifty Shades of Grey,” the studio is reportedly mulling over the possibilities of the “Fifty Shades of Grey" 2 and 3. However, no concrete decision has been reportedly made in this regard.

According to Variety, the studio is yet to a give green light to “Fifty Shades of Darker” and “Fifty Shades of Freed,” as the creative team is expected to undergo changes in the coming weeks.  Author E.L James is reportedly seeking "more control over the script." This is said to have caused a delay in the sequel’s production. The insiders have also revealed to the website that director Sam Taylor-Johnson may not be back to direct the film. There is no confirmation in this regard, as Sam said in her previous interview to Eonline that “she is signed on," according to Eonline. Even screenwriter Kelly Marcel is rumoured to sit out the sequels.

“Fifty Shades of Darker” and “Fifty Shades of Freed” will be based on the James’ book by the same titles. They will further build upon the relationship between business magnate Christine Grey and literature student Anastasia Steele. In “Fifty Shades if Darker,” Grey will ask out Steele for marriage and in “Fifty Shades of Freed,” the latter will be shown adjusting to her married life.

Meanwhile, Eloise Mumford, who plays Steele’s best friend in “Fifty Shades of Grey,” recently hinted during a pre-Oscar Young Hollywood party that she has no clue about the sequel. “We’ll see. We\'re all just sort of reveling in the fact that it did so well right now, and we\'re super-thrilled that so many people went and saw it,” she said, reports Eonline.

She also added that she was surprised by the film’s box office success as she always keeps low expectations. “Fifty Shades of Grey” stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson in the lead role. The film tells the story of a wealthy businessman, Christian Grey, who falls in love with a literature student Steele. It also features a slew of BDSM elements including bondage and dominance.
