The room remained still and silent for several moments, until Damion spoke again.
"Harsh and unnecessary, I know... But when one is facing cold accusation and being gegeben a fierce interview, they would do the same... Albeit in a Mehr mild form..." Damion sighed. "I still look back at that and want to acknowledge that I did something stupid.. But I won't, it was the most rational thing I could think of doing, and it still seems like I could have reacted differently, but being trapped in a corner leaves Du no choice..."
"Damion..." Hannah looked at him with disapproval.
"My mate, Du don't need to be disappointed in me, I already am kicking myself in the rear for it, just as I am for escaping just to assist you. Look babe, I hate to be a spoilsport oder something around those lines, it happened far in the past, it's over.. I just brought it up since Du seem to want to know everything the prison's guards oder psychiatrists will never know," Damion explained.
"And what do they want to know?" Hannah asked.
"Well for one, they want to know if I'm The Kid. Heheh... I assure Du that I'm not the guy they're looking for," Damion chuckled.
Hannah stood up, smirking.
"Prove it."
Damion tossed a scrap of paper from their "evidence" pile, it glided under their seats.
"First of all, if I were the one killing all those people, I wouldn't assume a nickname, I'd make sure they knew it was me, but find nothing to tie any of the crimes back. I never leave evidence, I may say something cryptic to imply it was me, but never say it bluntly. I never leave any messes behind when it comes to victims," Damion tilted his head down to look up at his mate.
"No, I know Du left no messes out of your victims because Du ate some of them, and harvested the organs of the rest," Hannah crossed her flippers with interrogation.
Damion smiled, getting close to Hannah's face.
"I've washed, brushed, and rinsed thousands of times, do Du still smell, penguin, in my breath~?"
Hannah gave one sniff.
"Mint, that's one I smell."
She sniffed again.
"I also smell cinnamon and... Cherry, Blossoms..?" Hannah blushed.
"I know they're your favorite, took the chemical formula for the scent of kirsche Blossoms and made it into a sort of mouth wash, schlucken it down after every meal~" Damion purred.
"How thoughtful, but Du still gotta convince me you're not The Kid," Hannah winked.
Damion turned, then picked up a notebook, pulling out a pencil tucked in the binding.
"Kowalski, if Du could be a glocke and write this conversation down, it'd be most... Appreciated."
Kowalski opened the notebook, finding an envelope sealed with a stylized wax "K".
"What about, this?" Kowalski asked.
Damion picked it up, then frowned slightly.
"My dear, this clearly did not reach its destination..." Damion tucked it into his mantel and sat down.
He then hopped up slightly.
"Oh! Yes, my alibi. Another factor that leaves me out is physical description, the papers Berichten a pinguin in black who's short, and stout, roughly one foot, two inches, I am exactly one foot eleven inches, and am quite thin, for someone who "craves" a diet of fatty meat, particularly of avian species," Damion sighed, "I don't crave fatty meats, I Liebe it, but tilapia and catfish are my Favorit meat overall. I don't mind eating poultry like they say, but that's limited to chicken, turkey, sometimes duck. Did Du get all that K'Walski?"
Kowalski nodded.
"I believe Du Mehr after hearing that than when Du joined us," Skipper smirked, "Too bad I still don't fully trust you."
"I trust Du now!" Private shouted with a big grin.
"...Sure Du do..." Damion frowned at Private, the latter bowing his head sadly.
The group jumped as pounding was heard on the door.
Hannah peeked outside and saw armored penguins waiting outside, carrying batons and holding up a warrant for their search.
Damion grabbed a pistol from his coat.
"Don't... Just hide, I've got this," Hannah implored.
"You trust me to stay good, I trust Du to take care of what's going on outside, I'm fine with that deal," Damion then wiped off the gun with his mantel and threw it away.
"Okay, guys, let me answer the-" Hannah was cut off Von Skipper ripping the door open and rushing out with Rico.
