The Weiter Tag Kiva woke up, and looked around in confusion.
"Where am I?" She wondered, glancing at the trees around her. "And Mehr importantly, what happened?" She stood up looked thoughtful. "Ok, so even though I'm lost, I still need to find Emma even if I'm far away." She said, beginning to walk in a Zufällig direction, hoping to find her friend, oder the others.
Meanwhile Ashley had woke up like a shot and quickly shook his feathers, drying them after last nights storm.
"C'mon guys get up we need to find Kiva and Emma." He told them, tapping his foot impatiently. Kowalski woke up and glanced around.
"Where Kait?" He asked.
"I'm not sure lad, she's probably around here somewhere." Ashley replied. He was about to sniff the air to check, when they heard a rustling in a nearby bush.
"W- what was that?" Kowalski stammered, his eyes widening as the fell on the bush. The rustling continued and Kait walked out, holding a few fisch in her flippers.
"Oh hi guys, I've got some fisch if you're hungry." She greeted cheerfully, handing them some fish. Ashley got a Schokolade dip out of his green backpack and dipped the fisch in it. Like Emma, he didn't really like fish. He thought it tasted nicer with chocolate.
"Are we gonna go and look for them now?" He asked hopefully.
"Yeah, let's go." Sylvia replied, startling Ashley as she woke up.
"Where could they be?" Blake wondered, looking annoyed. He kicked a nearby rock in anger. "That flippin' seal!"
"Blake stop it!" Sylvia scolded, looking around. Ashley sniffed the air and caught the scent of blood, slightly stronger than yesterday.
"Emma's this way.." He said, pointing to the east. The others nodded and they waked through the forest a little quicker than yesterday. Kait also sniffed the air and looked worried.
"If that is Em, we better hurry, something bad could have happened."
"How can Du and Ashley smell the blood when there's too many other smells around?" Kowalski asked.
"It's really just about being able to distinguish one scent among others." Ashley answered.
"And it's about practice." Kait added. She sniffed the air and looked thoughtful.
"What is it? Anther leopard seal?" Kowalski asked nervously, hiding behind Kait.
"No.. a pack of wolves, not like the Wölfe I've been with, I think they're arctic wolves.." She replied.
"Will they rip us to shreds?" Kowalski asked worriedly.
"What?! No, though I guess it depends on the alpha, you've seen to many horror Filme Kowalski." Kait said, rolling her eyes.
"I've never seen an arctic wolf before." Ashley sagte cheerfully, walking on and keeping his mind on the smell.
Meanwhile...
In the creature's base, where Emma was being held, the lieutenant, (the Sekunde creature from the last chapter) was looking out of the periscope and he grinned devilishly.
"Sir, there's some penguins, a papageientaucher, puffin and a raccoon about a mile out from here." He announced, still looking through the periscope."What shall we do?" He asked, turning to his leader. (The first creature from the last chapter.)
"Hmm..." The leader began, looking thoughtful. "Take the girl out to the forest. Du know what to do." He decided, nodding towards a very bloody, and barely conscious Emma.
"Yes Malphus, sir." The lieutenant replied, going over to the tabelle and undoing Emma's chains. He picked her up, and she struggled and kicked, but was too weak to do much more. He headed out to the forest and muttered to himself. "This should be a good enough warning for those animals."
Not far away Kiva was walking along, trying to avoid the sharp thorns on the plants around her. She almost tripped on one, and she panted, taking a rest on a nearby rock.
"Gosh, my feet are killing me." She mumbled, rubbing her feet. She looked up and stifled a gasp, quickly hiding behind the rock. "Emma?" She whispered, staring in horror at her friend who was being carried Von a large, dangerous looking creature. "Oh gosh, she must have been kidnapped Von that thing, I've gotta do something oder my friend is a goner." She sagte to herself. Just before she was about to step out. the creature put Emma down on the floor and laughed evilly, before disappearing into the trees. Kiva came out from behind the rock and rushed over to the injured penguin. "Emma? Emma? Are Du alright?" She asked worriedly.
"Kiva...?" Emma murmured, looking up at the blurry blob which she guessed was her friend. She forced her eyes open, but couldn't focus on anything around her.
"Oh dear, she's barely conscious, I need to get her out of here!" Kiva exclaimed picking up Emma and running away. Emma shivered a little, coughed up a fair amount of blood and found it impossible to keep her eyes open any longer.
Meanwhile, the smell of blood had been getting stronger and stronger for Ashley and, suddenly in became so strong it was nearly intolerable.
"G- guys, Emma's definitely around here somewh- Kiva?" He trailed off, noticing someone running hastily in the distance. "Is that you?" He shouted, to her. Kiva didn't notice, and ran on. "KIVA!" He yelled, waving his flippers in an attempt to get her attention. Kiva stopped and noticed the others in the distance.
"Guys!" She squealed joyfully, running over as quickly as she could, still carrying Emma in her arms.
"Kiva where have Du been?" Ashley asked.
"I'm not sure." Kiva replied. Ashley and Dylan's jaws dropped as their stared at Emma in sheer horror.
"Oh my gosh...." Ashley managed.
"I-is she gonna be alright?" Dylan asked anxiously, unable to take his eyes off a large cut gong down Emma's side.
"I don't know, she coughed a bit of blood up earlier and, well she's in pretty bad shape.
"Put her down on the grass." Ashley sagte softly, nodding to the soft gras, grass beneath them. Kiva nodded and put Emma down gently on the grass. The others crouched around her and Dylan took her flipper, which was stained with dry blood. He gazed at her sadly and pushed her hair out of her eyes.
"Please tell me she's still alive." Dylan said, squeezing her flipper gently. Ashley put his head to her chest, checking her heartbeat.
"Well?" Sylvia asked worriedly. Ashley sighed in relief when he heard a very weak thump enter his earholes.
"She's alive, but..." He trailed off looking upset.
"But what?" Dylan asked sharply.
"She- she needs medical attention now, oder she will die, and how is she gonna get that in the middle of a forest?" Ashley replied, a few tears in his eyes. He looked down at Emma, who was covered in deep scratches and cuts, and even a large bite mark on her waist. Most of her feathers were stained red, and a thin trail of blood was coming from her beak.
"I don't know where she could get help." Kiva remarked, looking anxious.
"The leopard seal!" Sylvia suggested.
"Really?" Blake asked doubtfully, crossing his flippers.
"I'm just trying to help." Sylvia mumbled.
"Well you're not helping." Kiva replied.
"You leave her along Kiva." Blake told her sharply.
"She didn't mean it that way Blake." Sylvia piped up.
"I meant that the leopard dichtung isn't the answer to this problem." Kiva explained.
"But what is the answer?" Ashley asked desperately, tapping his flipper on the ground nervously. The team fell silent and Ashley tried not to tear up as he watched his dying friend.
