Private couldn't be happier. He was floating around in the Süßigkeiten floss (or cotton candy) clouds, karamellbonbon, butterscotch lollies, and erdnuss butter Winkies, everywhere. He picked up as many as he could and skipped around merrily, giggling to himself. Then in the distance he saw a figure. He walked closer, full of curiosity, and and the figure took shape. It was Emma. She took his flipper and began walking through the Süßigkeiten filled wonderland. The sat down near the Schokolade river, flippers around each other.
"I Liebe you." Private sagte to her, looking into her big, midnight blue eyes."
"I Liebe Du too." She replied, putting a flipper on his cheek softly.
Just as they were about to kiss, some shouted, and Private turned around.
"Wake up Private!" Skipper yelled, shaking him awake.
"Huh, what?" Private mumbled, being zapped out of his dream.
"C'mon get up Private, it's 6am, time for breakfast,." Skipper said.
"Ok Skippah." Private sighed, crawling out of his bunk, repeating the dream over and over again in his head. He noticed that Rico and Kowalski were already at the table. He glanced at Kowalski, and noticed he looked a little distant.
"Hey are Du alright, K'walski?" Private asked, curiously.
"Huh? Oh yes, I'm fine Private, I was just thinking about my invention." Kowalski lied, smiling at the smaller penguin.
"Oh, ok." Private replied, his gullibility stopping him from thinking any Mehr of it. He tucked into his food, his mind not leaving the amazing, yet slightly strange, dream he had last night. He braved, turning his head around and glancing at the sleeping Emma. He smiled at her.
"Rivatecanupasthotsaus?" (Private can Du pass the hot sauce?) Rico asked.
"What? Oh sure here Du go Rico." Private replied quietly. He passed it to Rico, and put his head down, and ate. Kowalski looked at him suspiciously. They ate in silence, then went topside, to train.
"So today, we're going to do sumo wrestling." Skipper began. "So I'll explain the rules Du have to........"
Private's mind wandered, only paying half attention to his leader. He knew that the dream would stick with him for the rest of his life. If I've had such a dream, and now I can't stop thinking about it, it can only mean one thing... Private thought, trying to admit it to himself. I think I Liebe her. He managed to think.
"Private, pay attention!" Skipper scolded, as he got out the sumo kit. "So Rico and I will go first." He explained. "Kowalski I want Du to be the referee, and Private you'll being competing against the winner so watch and learn." Skipper instructed.
Private did all he could to focus, as he saw them fight. In the end Skipper won, so Rico, passed Private the sumo gear reluctantly. Kowalski motioned for them to start, and Skipper came running up to him and tackled him instantly, and after a few short minutes, Skipper was declared the winner. Private gave the gear to Kowalski, and went off into his little dream world again. He noticed that Kowalski didn't do much better than he did.
The rest of Training went Von slowly. Private and Kowalski didn't pay much attention at all, which angered Skipper. Private tried to pay Mehr attention, when the zoo visitors came to their habitat at 9am but he didn't succeed. When the all of the visitors had gone to the other habitats, Skipper ordered them inside and started at Private and Kowalski sternly.
"I don't know what's going on but Du two have been extremely distant today, and yesterday, to think of it aswell. Now, I can't have anyone on my team not focused, so if there's a reason why you're both not paying attention, tell me now, but if there isn't, get your heads in the game!" Skipper yelled, angrily.
"No there's no reason Skipper." Kowalski lied, avoiding his leaders harsh glare. Skipper gazed at him suspiciously, and turned to Private.
"No reason for me either Skippah." Private chimed in, a little Mehr convincingly then Kowalski.
"Ok, then, well, try to focus more." Skipper advised, calming down a bit. "Now we've got a nice long break, maybe you'll sort yourself out then."
Private sat down Von the Tv, and put the Lunacorns on. He smiled in delight, as his favourite character came on the Tv. For a while, his mind was off a certain penguin. Kowalski didn't know what to do for a bit, he wanted to build the Teleportation Machine with Emma, so he couldn't do that right now. He sat down near his lab door, got out his clipboard, and started doodling on it. Skipper and Rico were playing cards, and judging Von he sounds coming from the table, Rico was winning.
At about 11am, Emma woke up, which earned surprised looks from Skipper and Rico.
"Morning everyone." She yawned, rubbing her eyes.
"Morning Em." Kowalski greeted, trying not to blush.
Private frowned at Kowalski. He had just realised that Kowalski had called her Em, not Emma. He never shortens anyone's names, oder gives people nicknames. He thought. Come to think of it, he's called her that, ever since she arrived. He added, looking at the taller pinguin with suspicion. "Morning Emma." He sagte cheerfully, smiling brightly at her.
"Morning sis." Skipper and Rico called at the same time. "You're up a bit early aren't you?" Skipper commented, looking at her thoughtfully.
"I know, but I got bored staying in bed." So what's going on?" She asked brightly, glancing at Private, and smiling.
"Well our training session starts in an hour, we could work on the machine for a bit." Kowalski suggested hopefully.
"I'd Liebe to Kowalski, but I really want to relax for a bit." Emma replied gently.
"Oh, alright." Kowalski said, forcing a smile,to hide his disappointment. She quickly made a bit of toast and sat down Weiter to Kowalski, who brightened up inside.
"So how did this morning session go?" Emma asked, in between bites.
"Mixed I guess." Skipper answered, looking at Private and Kowalski sternly. Emma was smart enough to know she shouldn't ask about it. Private came and sat with them because the Lunacorns finished. (Well, that's what he sagte was the reason anyway) The three of them talked a little, and Emma pulled out her tiny drawstring bag, and got he phone out. Private, Rico and Skipper looked at the bag in amazement.
"How on earth...." Skipper began, but Emma quickly interrupted and explained. Rico wondered if that's why he could store things in his stomach, but Emma, assured him that it wasn't. Emma put her headphones in her phone, and got a sketch book, and a pencil case out.
"Are Du going to listen to Westlife again?" Kowalski asked.
"Yup." Emma replied cheerfully.
"Oh, I like them." Private chimed in.
"Really?" Emma gasped, astonished. "Ok, so what's your favourite song Von them?" She asked looking skeptical.
"Unbreakable, and Leaving." Private answered, a little smugly. "Yours?"
"Hmmm, I don't have a definite favourite, but my tops are I'm Already There, Beautiful Tonight, Heal, Hit Du With the Real Thing, The Rose, Unbreakable, I Wanna Grow Old With You, and Have Du Ever." Emma replied looking thoughtful.
"Woah... that's a lot." Private marvelled. "Can I listen to a few songs with you?" He asked shyly.
"Sure." Emma answered, giving him one of the headphones. One of the songs came on, one that Private didn't know. He couldn't help feel that the lyrics seemed to fit the moment perfectly. He sang along in his head. Did Du know, when you're around, my herz won't, it can't slow down, it beats so hard, it makes it hard to catch my breath, to catch my breath. He thought along with it, blushing slightly.
Emma was thinking exactly the same thing as him, she started drawing to try to take her mind off him, but it didn't help much. They all carried on talking whilst the songs were on, because it wasn't that loud.
"Watcha drawing Kowalski?" Emma asked cheerfully.
"A a few planets." He answered, smiling shyly at her. "You?"
"A dog." Emma replied, holding the picture up, shyly.
"Wow that's amazing!" Kowalski gasped, looking at the picture with wonder.
"Thanks Kowalski." Emma sagte beaming at him.
The sat there for a while, talking, drawing and listening to music. Emma even let Private have a bit of paper so he could draw for a bit. Suddenly Skipper called out to them, telling them that it was time for training. Emma looked at the clock, and her jaw dropped. It only felt like it had been 30 minutes, not 1 Stunde and 30 minutes. She climbed up the ladder a little reluctantly, and a little excitedly. She hoped that this training was just s exciting as yesterday's. But she was wrong.
It was going to be a lot Mehr exciting.
"I Liebe you." Private sagte to her, looking into her big, midnight blue eyes."
