CC took Rune to the zoo nursery, where the baby Tiere lived, so they could figure out what song Rune was going to sing.
"How about Du sing this?" CC asked, holding up the lyrics to a song.
"No," Rune muttered, looking through some other songs.
"What songs do Du know?"
"I know Mary had a Little Lamb, and Row Row Row your Boat, and Twinkle Twinkle."
"And?"
"That's it, except for..."
"Except for what?" CC asked, gathering up the piles of songs.
"Nothing," Rune muttered, looking down.
"Ok then," CC said, uncertainly. "I have to go now, training's in like, five minutes." She stood, ruffled Rune's fur, and left.
Rune sighed.
"Why don't I like singing?" she asked herself. "There's just something about the thought of being up on stage in front of lots of people, and raising my voice to music." As she sagte those words, she was suddenly standing on a big stage, with the spotlight beaming down on her. She raised her paw to shield the light, and saw hundreds of pairs of eyes watching her. Each voice was chanting, "SING SING SING SING SING SING SING..."
Rune gasped, and stumbled backwards, half blinded Von the lights. She fell over a speaker, pulling the wires, and knocking the microphone over, causing the screeching sound of feedback through the speakers. The crowd chanted louder, stomping their feet, and making a terrible racket. Rune held her paws over her ears, and shut her eyes tight, trying to block out the sound and sight, but the crowd was just too loud. Rune pulled herself into a ball, trying to hide, because the crowd started coming onto the stage, still chanting, still stomping. She felt herslef being grabbed Von the scruff, and held up in front of everyone. She kept her eyes closed, as tears fell down her cheeks.
"Stop it!" she cried, her voice tiny and quiet. "Stop!"
Rune sat up in bed, panting.
"What the...?" she gasped. She was in her little room, not a big stage, with millions of people trying to get her to sing. She lay back down, thinking over her dream.
"I can't sing!" she exclaimed. She stood to go find CC to tell her, when CC came in and picked her up.
"Ok, you've had all night to think about it, so what are Du gonna sing?" she asked.
"Uh," Rune thought for a second. "It's a secret," she finally said.
"Can't Du tell me?" CC asked, putting her down.
"No. It's a secret." Rune folded her arms.
"Ok, if you're sure," CC replied. She left the room, leaving Rune to try and THINK of a song to keep secret.
