"So, where are we going, exactly?" Monique asked Kiva.
"I'm trying to find the house," Kiva sighed, slightly annoyed.
"Can't Du hurry up a little?"
"NO! I have to find the right street. Which is hard, because the signs are so high up."
"Why didn't Du say so? I'll just groooowwwww!" As Monique spoke, she grew to the size of a human. Luckily, no-one was around. "This says, blume Grove," she called down.
"That's the straße we need!" Kiva called back up. "324 blume Grove!" Monique shurck back down to pinguin size, and the two of them made their way down the street.
As they wandered down the street, Kiva Lesen the numbers on the left, and Monique on the right, Kiva stoppped and stared at something in a hedge.
"Monique!" she called, not taking her eyes off it. "What is that?" she slowly pointed her finger, as Monique crossed the road to come see.
"What is wha-OHMYGRACIOUS!"
"What?" Kiva asked, still staring. Monique ducked into the hedge and came out carrying a kitten, a little bigger than Rune's size. The cat was all white, except for her paws, and strange markings on her left side. She was shivering in Monique's arms. She opened her eyes.
"Amber? Macie? Huh?" her pelz stood on end, and she leapt away from Monique and Kiva, hissing loudly.
"Who are you, and what do Du want?" she growled.
"I'm Monique, and this is Kiva. We only want to find the abandoned house. Do Du know where it is?"
"I'm a stranger here, myself," the kitten replied, her pelz relaxing a little, bt she still kept a close eye on them. Kiva noticed she had a strong Chinese accent. "I am here with my-"
"Friends?" Kiva interuppted.
"I wouldn't call them friends," she said. "More like traveling companions. Once we do what I asked them to help me with, we will go our seperate ways. Maybe Amber and Macie will stay together. But I have sagte too much," she turned to leave. "I must make haste and find them."
"We'll help you," Kiva suggested. The cat stopped in her tracks.
"What are Du thinking, Kiva?" Monique asked. "We have to get to the house, and meet up with the others."
The cat padded back up to them, her tail in the air, circling around their legs. She did this a couple times, then sat down, and started licking her paw daintily. After a minute, she put her paw down. Monique and Kiva looked at her curiously.
"How do Du two fell about...revenge?" Monique and Kiva stepped back.
"Revenge? Who do Du want revenge against?" Monique asked.
"I must avenge the untimely death of my brother," the cat growled. "He was killed Von rabid dogs...No-one could do anything after...the death bite..." She kissed the words as if they were poison, Wird angezeigt her sharp, white teeth. Her face realxed. "You are probably right; revenge is bad, and I'll forever be cursed with the guilty conscience that I have done wrong. As they say in my country, Peace is the kay to a better world."
"They say that in China?" Monique asked.
"Yes, they d- How did Du know I am from China?"
"The accents kinda a give-away," Kiva replied.
"Oh, yes, of course."
"Want to come with us?" Kiva asked.
"Could I? I have nothing left to do. My Friends have left me, and revenge will not sooth my aching heart...only time."
Monique and Kiva smiled at each other as they made their way to the house. Behind them, the cat, now known as Mist-Wu, smaile evilly to herself.
"MIST-WU!" someone called, and two penguins, one guiding the other, ran up to them. The one being guided signed something, and the other translated.
"Macie wants to know why Du ditvhed us," she explained.
"I didn't." Mist-Wu snapped. "I got Lost after we teilt, split up to run from that burning ball of death!"
"I told you, it was an airplane."
"Potato tomato, what diffrence does it make, Amber? It killed that stray cat."
"Did Du say airplane?" Kiva asked. "Did Du see anyone there?"
"No-one," Amber replied. "We ran from it, and didn't go back to check."
"Take us there," Monique demanded. Amber and Mist-Wu looked surprised. MAcie signed something else.
"She says that it'll be too dangerous. It's sure to be on fire."
"Take...Us...There!" Monique snapped. "Our Friends are there, and they may be hurt."
"Ok, ok," Amber agreed. "Then, Du must help us. We need shelter. We've been wandering around for DAYS!"
"Deal," Monique agreed, and they shook hand and flipper.
"I'm trying to find the house," Kiva sighed, slightly annoyed.
