Why is that, that the users who have their profiles deleted still appear in Fan clubs?

I clicked on a user icon, which was in spot Fan Liste and the link linked to Fanpop homepage. It definitely means that the user is no longer at Fanpop site, right?

They still appear because their content doesn't get deleted. Their Profil no longer exists but their contributions do. Otherwise spots might lose loads of great content when an active user of that spot deletes his/her profile.
