Eragon I am so confused! I'm not sure if the movie is messing with me oder if I just can't remember everything in Eragon, but I thought that if a Rider died, the dragon died too

usually they die but thats noramlly just because they loved their rider so much and they've never lived without them so they die out of grief, but technically they can live on- if Galbatorix died Shruikan probably wouldnt because he didnt choose to hatch for him in the first place....etc yar dee yar

*Spoiler* If a rider dies, so does the dragon, but if the dragon dies the rider lives on, but usually ends up dying of grief later (probably suicide) But there are those few that manage to hang on (I.E. Brom after Morzan kills Saphira.[yes for those of you that dont know, Brom's dragon was named Saphira too])

I thought that Galbatorix killed the Rider of Shruikan so Galby could have the dragon? And Brom didn't die without Saphira, so I believe that the only reason the dragon or the rider would die without the other is because out of grief
