I love Emma. She’s gorgeous, but this movie was not for her, not if she had to sing. I can’t imagine how or why she would be cast in a musical of this magnitude when she really *can’t* sing. I don’t think I would have been upset if they’d found a singing double for her, really. People get body doubles all the time, a voice double, due to obvious reasons wouldn’t have been such a stretch. That they chose to make the live action film with such a handicap is ridiculous and kind of insulting. These are songs that I still have in my playlist from ages ago and was looking forward to listening to again with new voices. That entire part of the soundtrack is unbearable. LOL! I can’t go watch the film now cause I can’t mute or fast forward through those parts, which makes me kind of sad I put so much weight on the music side, but oh well. I hope the movie’s successful and that it brings everyone associated with it lots of good fortune, but I will skip this one and hope they do better with the next live action adaptation.

Emma does have an uncanny resemblance to Belle which I suppose is the only reason they hired her. Which is unfortunate because not only can she not sing but she’s a horrible actress as well.

I think they’re hoping to capitalise off her Harry potter fame, she is so ordinary looking, can’t sing or act. And thinks taking her breasts out to promote a kids movie is normal.

There is nothing wrong with her singing on the movie soundtrack.She does a good job with the songs she sings.

I think people are over reacting to her singing ability. I agree it would have been a bit better with someone with more vocal talent, but she barely sings at all and she’s not that awful! Amazing, absolutely not. But painful to listen to is a bit of an over exaggeration.
