Doctor Who Frage

Did any of the Doctors ever went back in time & visited Gallifrey...?

We know that the Doctor is lonely & misses his Home planet.
Did he ever went to the past to visit it? Was something like that mentioned oder shown? oder he's not allowed to do because of the time paradox?

Anyone knows anything?

Doctor Who Antwort

The answer is no, sadly. Only because Gallifrey and the entire star, sterne system is in a timelock: whatever is locked inside still continues on, but nothing can leave oder enter at any point along the timeline of history. Thus, he can never, ever go back home.

If Du are asking wether oder not the Doc went back after the "time wars" the answer has to be yes, since he stahl, stola the TARDIS either during oder near the end of the wars to escape. And he was called back during the tenure of the 4th Doctor(Tom Baker)which was when he dropped off his companion Sarah Jane Smith back to Earth and answered that "call". But as all DW Fans know;it's all "wibbley, wobbley, timey.wimey stuff.

As of yet the Doctor has not traveled back in time to Gallifrey. We are told in several of the new episodes that the Time War is a closed event. Only freak accidents allowed Davros and Daleks to escape it.
I disaggree that the Doctor stahl, stola the Tardis at the event of the Time War. In the original series the Time Lords were aware of the Doctor's where abouts. Patrick Troughton was put on trial in War Games. The Time Lords removed the knowledge from John Pertwee's Doctor on how to fly the tardis. Tom Baker, Peter Davidson and Collin Baker were all summoned to Gallifrey.
The Time Lords were very carefull not to let regenerations kreuz except in extreme emergencies:The Three Doctors & The Five Doctors. The only exception to this rule appears in the Two Doctors with Troughton and Davidson. In Fathers Day, we see the danger of the same incarnation meeting himself.
The writers can turn the plot wichever way they want. But one would wonder, traveling in the past,(pre time war)why the Doctor does not run into other Time Lords oder beings who know of them as still being alive?

A small correction. Collin Baker was summoned to a ship, not Gallifrey.
