Everyone’s got a real family, but some of us are extra lucky and get to be surrounded by fellow Disney fanatics who make us laugh and keep us sane. These angels are members of an elite squad known as our Disney family, and this is why they’re the best:

1. They don’t judge you when you watch the same Disney movie every night for a week straight.

In fact, they’ll be right there next to you on the couch, arguing over whose turn it is to make popcorn.

2. They not only condone, but encourage and participate in your crazy fan theories.

Onlookers may assume something’s wrong, but really you’re just having a spirited debate about whether the trolls cursed Hans or not.

3. You always have a crew ready to go to a Disney Park with you.

You’ll never hear your Disney family say the words “You’re going on a Disney vacation again?”

4. They understand even the slyest of quotes and references.

Others may hear “broke” when you say “If it’s not Baroque, don’t fix it,” but your Disney family knows better.

5. Your Disney family shares your Disney merch obsession.

They never need to ask what you want for your birthday, because they already know exactly which Vinylmation you have your eye on.

6. Your Disney family will gladly join you in your impromptu sing-alongs.

This is key, because it’s really challenging to sing “A Whole New World” by yourself.

7. Your Disney family accepts you and loves you as you are.

We’re a quirky bunch. We know that, and we love that, and we love our fam.
