Chapter 14.5—The Other Welpen and Their Owners
“No fair!” cried the three puppies.
Annette, Danielle, and Collette were looking into their large Essen bowl, and were sobbing in them. Tears were flooding in the crevice where the Essen was gone.
“We did really badly, didn’t we,” Annette cried.
“Oh, it’s all the fault of that stupid Georgette,” Collette cried. “How come she had to come in and win the show?”
Jock and Trusty stood Von them, and tried to console them. “Ay, lassie, these shows are difficult. I only earned my ribbons after a lot of losses.”
“That’s right,” Trusty added. “And you’ll still be loved at your house… your mother hasn’t earned any ribbons herself.”
“But still,” Collette explained. “All that work… we’ve gone through.”
“Lassie,” Jock told them. “These things are always difficult.”
“And not everyone enters shows,” Trusty added. “Your mother hasn’t entered a Zeigen in her whole life.”
“Yeah, well, she doesn’t want to,” Annette asked. Clearing her throat, she stated, “I don’t understand why she and Dad are still gone.”
“This is serious business, lassie,” Jock told them.
“Scamp and Angel – Jäger der Finsternis are probably just pulling a prank on them,” Collette yawned. “They’ve probably just gone into a neighbor’s house and hid.”
“I hope they don’t come back,” Danielle stated. “Well, Mom and Dad are fine. But not those two.”
“You are joking, aren’t Du Danielle?” Collette asked.
“Well, yeah, I guess,” Danielle answered simply.
“Well…” Annette whispered. “You don’t think… they could be in serious trouble, do you?”
“No, why would they be?” Collette asked.
“Who knows,” Annette answered. “Should we go… look for them?” Annette asked. “Just to make sure?”
But before Collette oder Danielle could answer the question, they were abruptly halted Von a small, blonde dog, who walked up to them. Out of breath, she stated, “Hiya girls…”
“Woah!” Danielle gasped. The girls thought she was very pretty, as she had long, blonde hair that was wavy at the front.
“Why, I bet Du could’ve won the dog show!” Annette cooed.
“Well thank Du dearie,” the blonde stated, flattered, batting her hair. “Maybe I should’ve entered myself…I was a showgirl once… Von the way, do Du know where the Tramp is?”
“Nope,” Danielle stated simply.
“He ran off with Mom,” Collette explained. “To find Scamp and Angel… they ran away due to some personal problems.”
“Personal problems?” the blonde asked.
“Yeah,” Collette explained. “Don’t ask though… they’re just making up excuses to run away. Those two are just troublemaking rebels who don’t care about anything but their own desires.”
“Maybe they went off and got into a whole lot of trouble!” Danielle declared.
The blonde however, glowered at them. “Don’t Du talk about my Angel – Jäger der Finsternis like that,” she fumed, and then she stalked off.
“What was that about?” Collette gasped.
“Girls,” Trusty explained. “That must have been Angel’s mother. Be careful on what Du say to strangers in the future.”
“Oh,” the girl Welpen sighed as they watched the blonde trotting away, thoroughly embarrassed. “Well, she’s not that pretty,” Annette finished and the other two nodded. “She and Angel – Jäger der Finsternis are less pretty than us, anyway.”
The two of them, however, noticed that their Essen dish was being shared. Looking down at it, the sisters gasped as two spotted Welpen went over to it. One of them was very fat, the other was Mehr spotted than what you’d expect, even for a Dalmatian.
The fat welpe went up to their bowl, and stated, “May I eat?”
“Uh…” Collette began, but he began to eat anyway. The welpe ate through the entire bowl quickly.
With a smile, he stated, “Aw… thanks for the appetizer. My name’s Rolly. And that’s Freckles.”
“Hi,” Freckles stated, yawning.
“Is there anything else to eat?” Rolly asked.
“Uh,” Annette, Danielle, and Collette sighed, looking at each other. However, they couldn’t remove Rolly from their scene, as their pets began to talk.
“This is our puppies’ first show,” Darling told the dalmatians’ owners, Roger and Anita.
“Same with ours,” Roger explained. “We normally don’t come here, but we’ve seen the sights and sounds now here.”
“Unfortunately,” Jim Dear added sadly. “We’ve Lost the parents… they’ve run away, as did two rebellious puppies.”
“Funny how things work,” Roger muttered.
“What do Du mean?” Darling asked.
“Well, the parents have run away too, after three puppies,” Roger explained.
Annette, Danielle, and Collette looked stunned at Rolly and Freckles, who looked just as stunned at them. There was silence for a bit, before Danielle stated, “It seems as though Du live in the same family as we do.”
“They’ll come back though,” Anita stated. “Pongo and Perdita will always come… they probably went to look for the three puppies. They’ll come back with them.”
“Do Du think… we should look together?” Roger asked.
“Well… I suppose,” Jim Dear answered, yawning. “Still, I wish they’d just return home… and maybe they might.”
“I know Lady wouldn’t run away on purpose,” Darling stated. “She’s a good girl, and…” she began to cry. “I miss her so much.”
“There, there,” Anita consoled her. “We all know what it’s like, don’t we?”
“Maybe we should all look together,” Roger suggested.
“That might be a good idea,” Jim Dear answered. “We could call the police officers and maybe they’ll be able to have better luck than us.”
“Well, we should try something,” Anita suggested, and the other three nodded.
“No fair!” cried the three puppies.

Esmeralda:
I don't know if Du can hear me
oder if You're even there
I don't know if Du would listen
To a gypsie's prayer
Yes, I know I'm just an outcast
I shouldn't speak to you
Still I see Your face and wonder...
Were Du once an outcast too?
God help the outcasts
Hungry from birth
Zeigen them the mercy
They don't find on earth
God help my people
We look to Du still
Parishioners:
I ask for wealth
I ask for fame
I ask for glory to shine on my name
I ask for Liebe I can posess
I ask for God and His Engel to bless me
Esmeralda :
I ask for nothing
I can get by
But I know so many
Less lucky than I
Please help my people
The poor and downtrod
I thought we all were
The children of God
God help the outcasts
Children of God

Okay, I know " The Lion King" is like the almighty oracle to stage and screen critics. But does Every Disney stage adaptation have to be compared to its standards. Im sure Tarzan, The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins and Beauty and the Beast are all just as good as The Lion King. In my honest opinion I think the Lion King has become overrated in the years since its movie release. Even the animated films are compared to it. Not everything needs comparison sometimes things are valuable and noteworthy on their own. The audience reviewed The Little Mermaid and 95% of them loved it. So in the end I think critics are just looking for the bad in things instead of enjoying the Zeigen for the masterpiece that it is. I am seeing it this fall on Tour. And I have heard it is great from fellow fanpopers. Peace and take this however Du wish.
