The Weiter morning Webby woke-up feeling very excited, she jumped out of bett and ran down stairs. When she saw Scrooge sitting in his lounge chair drinking a cup of coffee and Lesen a business magazine she ran over to him, “Uncle Scrooge it’s still okay if my meise, chickadee troop uses your cabin, right?!” she called.
Scrooge looked up from his magazine, “Aye that’s fine dear.” He replied a little less than enthusiastically.
“Oh, goody then I’m going to call Mrs. Quackmore right now and tell her!” Webby exclaimed.
“Alright, Du do that darling.” Scrooge sagte as he chuckled. Seeing Webby that happy helped him feel a little Mehr enthusiastic about the Chickadees using his cabin.
Later that evening an emergency Chickadees’ meeting was called, to discuss using Scrooge’s kabine as a solution for their problem. “Ugh… Why did they call another meeting?” gänseblümchen, daisy groaned; as she, Minnie, and their nieces walked to the meeting. “Didn’t we vote just yesterday to put off the trip? If some mother, who wasn’t at the first meeting, has come in at the last Minute and voted to go now I‘m gonna be really mad!”
“No, gänseblümchen, daisy it’s not like that at all.” Minnie replied, “Um...Didn’t Mrs. Quackmore tell Du about the meeting when she called? ”
“No the girls answered the phone.” gänseblümchen, daisy replied, “And all they sagte was that there was another meeting where we had to discuss and vote for something else.”
“Well, according to Mrs. Quackmore, Uncle Scrooge has generously offered to let the Chickadees use his vacation cabin. And we need to discuss the possibility of doing that tonight.” Minnie explained.
“Really?!” gänseblümchen, daisy asked, “That old penny-pinching miser actually offered to let us use his cabin?”
“Oh Daisy, I really do wish Du would not talk about him, like that. Uncle Scrooge is a good friend of mine, and I do not like hearing people talk about my Friends in such a rude way.” Minnie sagte firmly.
“Eh… Sorry. I keep forgetting that Du guys are so close now.” gänseblümchen, daisy replied, feeling a bit embarrassed, but at the same time feeling a twinge of jealousy toward Minnie and Scrooge’s friendship.
All of a sudden Melody spoke-up, “Um… Millie and I were wondering, how are we all going to fit in one cabin? Wouldn’t that be awfully crowded?”
“If it’s a vacation cabin, then it’s probably just a really, really, really big cabin,” April replied.
At the hastily planned Chickadee’s meeting Judy Quackmore stood in front of everyone, “The reason I’ve called everyone here this evening is to discuss the proposal made Von Mr. Scrooge McDuck to use his vacation kabine while ours are being repaired,” she said, and then turned to Scrooge, “Uh…Mr. McDuck, Du do know that it is very untraditional for us to use a luxury vacation cabin, when we’re supposed to roughing it and earning merit badges?”
“Aye, I’m well aware of that.” Scrooge, who was sitting across the tabelle from her replied, “Ye have mentioned it several times. Now, would ye like to use me kabine oder not ye still have not answered me.”
Minnie, who was sitting Weiter to him spoke-up, “Mrs. Quackmore, I understand that a vacation kabine is different from our usual cabins, but I see no reason why we shouldn’t except Uncle Scrooge’s kind offer.”
“Me neither.” gänseblümchen, daisy replied, “We need to do it, so I can fulfill my life-long dream.”
May tapped her on the shoulder, “Um… what life-long dream are Du talking about this time, Aunt Daisy?”
“’Cause Du know, you’ve always got a new one.” June added.
“Shh…No I don’t sweetie. I only have a few life-long dreams.” gänseblümchen, daisy whispered, “And to answer your question, it’s the one where I get to stay in the vacation Home of a rich celebrity. Of course ideally it would be a seaside, strand vacation home; not kabine in the woods. And, the celebrity would a young, handsome actor oder singer; not an old businessman like Uncle Scrooge. And we would fall in love…” gänseblümchen, daisy stopped as soon as she noticed that Mrs. Quackmore and Minnie were staring blankly at her. The girls were all giggling and whispering, while Scrooge was glaring angrily. “Um… Sorry I guess I got a little carried away. Um…what were Du saying Mrs. Quackmore?” she sagte embarrassedly.
“Uh…yes…well, as I mentioned before, we’re supposed to roughing it, not experiencing a luxury vacation. So my main concern is that the Chickadees will not get the full out-doors experience.” Mrs. Quackmore sagte awkwardly. “Also Mr. McDuck are Du sure that your kabine is large enough to house the entire Chickadees Troop, and chaperones?”
“Well I would assume that a three-story, four thousand square foot kabine should be Mehr than large enough for the wee Chickadees and their chaperones,” Scrooge replied.
Webby who was growing bored and hoping to encourage Mrs. Quackmore to take Uncle Scrooge’s offer spoke-up, “I think that definitely sounds big enough, don’t you?”
“Yes, it I guess it does.” Mrs. Quackmore replied, and then she turned to Scrooge again, “Mr. McDuck, just out of curiosity, can I ask why you’re letting us use kabine and what Du get out of it?”
“Me reason for doing it is mainly so me wee Webbigail can go on her camping trip, and will no longer be disappointed.” Scrooge answered, “And, as I mentioned on the phone earlier, me only demands are; that the wee lasses are careful and do no damage anything valuable, including the cabin, and ye let me be a chaperone also.”
“Again it is not traditional to have a male chaperone in a girls’ scout troop.” She replied, “We like make sure our Chickadee’s know that they can do anything as just well a boy can, and can survive in the wild with out the help of man.”
“Um… Mrs. Quackmore why is that Du are so concerned with keeping these traditions?” Minnie asked.
Unable to think of answer, Mrs. Quackmore quickly changed the subject, “Well I had hoped that we have a least one chaperone this time with a license to drive a bus. That way we won’t have take separate cars oder hire someone to drive us.”
Scrooge thought for a moment, then replied, “Well, I can most assuredly can get ye a driver.”
Unable to think of any Mehr reasons to object to Scrooge’s proposal, Mrs. Quackmore said, “Well, I guess if Du can get us a driver that will do. Is everyone in favor of using Mr. McDuck’s cabin?” And the vote was unanimous.
When the meeting was over and they had stepped outside, Minnie threw her arms around Scrooge and gave him a big hug, “Oh, thank Du so much Uncle Scrooge, that was so sweet of Du to offer your cabin.”
Feeling a bit surprised Von the hug, Scrooge replied, “Oh it was…um… nothing dear, ye are quite welcome.”
“I am sorry about the way Mrs. Quackmore acted,” Minnie said, feeling a little embarrassed, “She’s not exactly the easiest person to work with all the time.”
“Aye, I noticed that,” Scrooge replied.
Then gänseblümchen, daisy came up, “So Du sagte that you’d find us a driver. What are ya gonna do hire one?” she asked.
“Oh, heaven’s no! I’ll no be spending any of me hard earned money on a driver.” Scrooge replied.
“Well, then what the heck are Du gonna do?!” gänseblümchen, daisy snapped, “You obviously can’t drive us since Du don’t even have a driver license! And don’t tell me you’re trying to back out of this ‘cause Du don’t want to spend money.”
“Aye, I know I cannot drive us. And no, I am no trying to get out of it.” Scrooge sagte angrily, “If I remember correctly the license needed to drive a limousine is the same that is needed for a bus, so Duckworth can be our driver.”
“Duckworth!” gänseblümchen, daisy exclaimed, and then burst into laughter.
Minnie was also trying to keep from laughing at the idea of Duckworth driving a bus full of little girls, “Well, suppose I don’t really see a problem with Duckworth being the driver, as long as he’s okay with it.” She said, “We better be going. It’s getting late, we still need to pack and we need to get up early tomorrow morning to leave on the trip.” Then after giving Scrooge and Webby each a hug she called, “Come on girls!”
As Minnie and gänseblümchen, daisy left, their nieces, who had been playing together in another part of the yard followed them. “Bye Miss Minnie, bye Aunt Daisy, bye girls,” Webby called.
That night everyone was busy packing for the camping trip. At Daisy’s house, she was hurrying to pack everything that was needed for a luxury vacation, now that she knew where she would be staying. Meanwhile April, May, and June were arguing over whether to pack fashion magazines oder fashion dolls.
At the same time at Minnie’s Home she and her nieces, Millie and Melody, were also busy packing their bags. The three of them wanted to make sure they had everything they needed for an outdoor experience, but also everything that was necessary to look pretty while having an outdoor experience.
In the meantime at McDuck Mansion, Scrooge and Webby were also preparing for the camping trip. Webby wanted to make sure she was well prepared for this wilderness adventure. So she was determined to fit all of the survival equipment she had acquired over the years going on treasure hunts, into her little suitcase that Uncle Scrooge had bought her last Monat at an eighty percent off sale. Before he started to pack Scrooge had to convince Duckworth that being the driver was worth the small amount he was paid, so that he wouldn’t have to spend any unnecessary money on a driver. Once Duckworth agreed they both began to pack.
