I'm not even going to bother explaining since I've been doing it for the past few rounds. Can someone explain to me how Eric is more of a damsel than Phillip? Seriously, I don't get it. I mean Eric isn't all that impressive but at least he defeats the villain all by himself, while Phillip doesn't, it was the fairies who defeated the villain. If the sword wasn't enchanted by the fairies at the last minute it never would've killed Maleficent. It wasn't even close to her heart, that is, if she has one. She would've just pulled it out, cooked Phillip, ate him, and used the sword as a toothpick.

Because the fairies are so heavily involved- I assume he could have done it anyway, but- the fairies do everything.

Phillip got help with every single thing in the final battle. Flora cast the spell on the sword to make sure that it kills Maleficent off, so even that is taken from him. He did not succeed in a heroic act on his own. None of the others were in the situation where they needed to be heavily saved.

He does NOTHING. At least Phillip tries to help his princess, even if the fairies do the work, Charming just sits around...

I think Phillip is incredible heroic in taking on that dragon, fairies or not...nevertheless, he is stuck in a tower waiting for rescue in the movie. That's a damsel classic.

Genie, Abu, Carpet, Iago, Jasmine the list goes on and one about him.

I'm pretty sure Charming would have done much worse than Phillip, if he was in his situation.
