I know like everyone's gonna pick Romeo and Juliet, but to be honest, I hated that play. I'm a very logical thinker and it just killed my brain to read Romeo and Juliet running around and acting like a bunch of idiots.

I never got the chance to read this play in grade 9 but I've always wanted to, I find the story quite interesting and charming. Seems like something Disney would do, seeing as it involves a crap load of magic and mix-ups.

Oh and I only added like the top 4ish most popular and well know plays, please add your own and give us some insight on some of the lesser-know plays

It would be hilarious :D Plus, it's the only one that's comedic with a happy ending. The rest are tragedies xD

I agree with lepetitsouris =)

And they wouldn't do Hamlet or Romeo and Juliet- TLK and TLK2 were based off those two.

Because it's super interesting. And animated gore is a bamf, although Disney would never go near it. Sadface.

Well, didn't Ariel die at the end of The Little Mermaid? Disney could change endings.

I would love to see what kind of song they'd make out of "Double, double, toil and trouble".

^Just look at Hercules, they completely raped that original story and left it on the sidewalk to die. Didn't Herc like kill his entire family and attracted other guys to him in his original tale?

this one is actually my favorite Shakespeare play, but still... I don't think any play out of these can be a Disney movie...

I remember reading this is 9th grade English...I LOVED it. We had just finished "Romeo and Juliet", so it was a nice change of pace...it was light, funny, and magical. I always read the part of Hermia.

@Duncan_Courtney: No, not attracted to other guys. Hera put a spell on him to make him kill his family, but he was very distraught afterwords and put himself through a bunch of trials to prove to himself he deserved to be alive after it.

Not really sure, but Hamlet has already sorta been done with Lion King.

Tigressfan10689 picked Hamlet:
^You're right, Mongoose09. All three lion kin movies were based of shakespeare plays. The sequel was also based upon Hamlet because Kovu needed to avenge Scars death, and some parts of Romeo and Juliet. The Lion King 1 1/2 and Timon ad Pumbaa were based on the Hamlet characters, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern.
