ive had friends commit suicide and family members die, but none of them close enough to feel the real pain of death.

I'm not sure if my pet dog counts?? i had her for 10 years and she died a couple of months ago.

lol yes a dog counts. I couldn't find where to stick pets. I had a dog of 13 years die too and that sadly woud probably be my hardest experience with death.

I've had some distant relatives die, but nothing that has really hit me. I'm sorry to everyone for their losses...

Excellent question, but a little depressing. I've lost my great-grandmother, great-grandfather, step-grandmother and a friend I went to junior high school with.

I lost my auntie, my grandma and most recently my uncle.

I lost my Grandfather and my dog that I have had since I was a baby. I was very close to both of them. :'(. I also lost a friend when I was three who was the same age as Me to unknown causes. :'(

My mother died of an infection from her chemotherapy after her Leukemia had gone into remission. I was the only one in the room at that moment, just by chance. We were going in to say goodbye one by one, and I was the last one.

My little brother died of cancer when he was two years old, I was only 7 at the time and it broke my heart so badly. I was in a depression for months, it was actually one of the reasons I never watched Cinderella much. Because even though it wasn't a big part of the storyline, the death of her parents just made my pain worse.

I lost my dog back when I was 17 and it hit me hard cause on the day he died I didn't even see him before I went to school. And then a month before my 18th birthday my mom dies from cancer. I also had both of my Great-Grandma die that year after my Great-Grandpa had died the year before.

I've also lost someone important from before I can remember with my Grandma who died after she had been in a car accident when I was 18 monthes. When I was a kid I would always go to her grave and visit her, since I lived a few blocks from the graveyard.

One of my best friends that I grew up with died in a car accident about 2 months ago...ever since she passed I feel like there is a hole in my heart...life simply won't be the same without her.

Umm, I've lost a grandmother and a couple other distant relatives. I don't even remember them. And two dogs. One when I was 3, which I can't remember. The other that I had as a baby, he died when I was 12. I didn't cry for him though. =/

I know my 13 year old dalmatian Lucky will pass soon. He can no longer jump or sit right and has already gone blind. I wish he was still my beautiful, energetic, little puppy.

Other than that, I haven't experienced death. I never knew someone close who has died or was killed, thankfully.

My great grandma and great great aunt. I was little and honestly I didn't care.

I was eight years old at Tuscora Park, and I was dancing--doing disco, actually--in the swimming pool. STUPID thing to do! I leaned back too far, my feet slipped, and I found myself falling backwards into the water! I swallowed a lot of water, and as I went down, I pictured the newspaper's headline: Girl, 8, Drowns in Tuscora Park. I imagined everything, but then I let it go. I was ready to drown. But then I suddenly felt my head come up, and I was like, "Am I in heaven? No, I'm alive!" That was scary! I never disco-danced in a swimming pool again.
