"Up where they stay all day in the sun" might be my favorite musically, though for the animation I really like this one. I'm guessing most people will like "Up where they stay" and "Wouldn't I love" the most but I'm curious to see what others think. :D

i love how she reaches out to life, her longing so apparent, and then her hair envelopes her face so gloriously. I love this. And her voice goes to soft whisper. In terms of music i love the part "betcha on land, they understand that they don reprimand their daughters. Bright young women, sick of swimmin, ready to stand" I love how Jodi goes from this soft sighing whisper to a thrilling high note. And the music rises to match her voice.

All of them! But I've always adored this moment where she's reaching out but is trapped by the rocks and the ocean.

And "Wouldn't I love, love to explore that shore up above".

Because of the entire scene in her grotto...Ariel stole my heart at nine years old. Things could have been different. It could have been some other character that won my little girl's heart at nine. But I don't mind that it ended up this way.

I like this moment, and, "What's a fire...and why does it...what's the word? BURN!!!" Ariel's curiosity just melts my heart. Ariel is so much more proactive. Ariel wants more than the designated "pitifully small roles" for females that royal mermaids have under the sea. And Ariel risks everything, goes out there, and tries to make it happen. She doesn't wait around, which apparently, is what Jeffery Katzenberg thinks is a feminist heroine in Belle. Yeah. And Katzenberg was the one who wanted "Part of Your World" cut from the movie....

Who would want to stay in the sea? Based on what I saw in the movie about the sea being a home, I heartily agree with Ariel. I'd want to leave, too.

But, I really love the "ready to stand" bit where she twirls, it's animated so beautifully! (I have this bit as a banner on my profile) ;)

Music-wise, I really love this little bit right after "I wanna see, wanna see them dancing" when she sings "walking around on those...". As she touches the music firgurine, it plays this little bit that sounds so wonderful! If you own the Instrumental Version of the song, I highly recommend that you give it a listen!

The shimmery fish! And she looks excited. :D
And "Flipping your fins, you don't get too far" which is right before. And the end is nice too. All of it's nice.
