Unfortunately. Most people I know have really outdated ideas, prejudiced views and they think small. That doesn't mean they aren't good people, but they aren't shining examples of open-minds.

Well, not that close-minded, but more than open-minded

This is really subjective. Nowadays if you don't 100% agree with popular opinion you get called narrow minded. And everyone loves to think of themselves as open minded even if they aren't.

What AudreyFreak said. Where I live, the people are not extremely close-minded but they aren't open-minded, either. They react very negatively to those who don't wholeheartedly agree with popular opinion.

Hmm. I'd say in the middle maybe? I actually live in a place that's pretty split down the middle for politics and social issues, so yeah.

I actually live in a comparatively liberal area, which I'm grateful for.

In general though, I don't think people are nearly as open-minded as they think they are.

Well its not the South ( no offense ) but it can feel as close-minded---- cause its a " red state", Only stating my opinion by the way, cause it was asked. North Dakota is full of farmers that are as stubborn, set in their ways, and conservative as the cattle they tend to, and donkey's if they have any.

Especially at my school.

It's not always the case though. I think the youth is open-minded, while people of older age and people who live in rural or remoted areas are close-minded. However you can also find many narrow-minded young people here.

I live in a Blue state,
where the previous governor
passed three laws
That made it illegal for Trans person to use
the bathroom of the gender they identify as!
That made it so LGBTQ+ people can be
terminated from their job for being who they are
And another that made it difficult for Trans people
to get proper Medical.
